Richard Sherman and Michael Crabtree's beef ran way deeper than we saw in public

Спорт

I very vividly remember watching this beef erupt. So much happened so quickly that if you'd gone to the bathroom just before the snap (why the hell would you do that, Steve?) it would've been a tricky thing to explain. It was a play that very easily could have been an episode of Rewinder, but what immediately followed forced this story into a beef-shaped box.
But since it burst on the scene in such a major way - incredible play, massive stage, explosive interviews - the expectations for it ran wild. The tricky thing though is beef can be a very personal thing, and therefore it can be misunderstood by those looking in from the outside. We have a good feel for this relationship, but there will (likely) always be some key details that Richard Sherman and Michael Crabtree never share with us. That's ok. Still tastes real good.

Saying Sherman offered his hand to Crabtree after the interception makes it seem like a totally innocent gesture. Right after he made the interception he sprinted over to him and screamed "good game bro." You could argue that it was a taunt more than a gesture of sportsmanship, and given how Sherman played the game, I'm inclined to think it was a taunt.

  • @jordanweddle3800

Agreed, I've been attempting to shed light on the probable ingenuine intentions of Sherman's "sportsmanlike" gesture for years now. Yeah he had a helmet on but even if he took it off it would still be one sided i mean if you know you could kick someones ass and you had a helmet on are you going to take it off just to hit them or are you just going to hit them bc they pushed you? Im sure if shermen wanted a real fight he would of at least tried to take his hemet off him. Besides trent said he was going to punch him so thats a key to put your helmet on too or walk away but instead he invited that punch

@@toml6896 Sherman had his helmet off the whole time though, and that's my point. Trent looks like a whole clown for that. You're the LT. Set a better example. I could understand if Richard was just popping off the whole time, but this was after the game where people were shaking hands and being cordial

Bengals vs Steelers is a weird rivalry in that despite it being completely one-sided both sides seem to hate despise each other. For the most part, we aren't really a threat to the Steelers, but their fans absolute hate our guts.
