1) Yes there are technical and performance errors. But it’s an elementary orchestra. They are producing a solid, unified sound. They sound better than lots of middle schools I’ve heard. 2) While it is slower than the original recording, it makes sense when you know their age. They do speed up for the middle section, so it creates greater contrast between the “slow” and “fast” sections. Also, the composer himself (Richard Meyer) is the conductor of this performance. If he had no problems with this tempo, why should a listener have one? 3) A fine performance from a very fine group and fantastic composer/conductor.

@@sagittarius6160 it doesn’t matter if you’re left or right handed, you hold the violin with your left hand/ shoulder and the bow with your right

They came in like first before the cellos etc

I played this last night at my orchestra and we.sounded okay at this but these kids are so much better

I’m in 4rth grade and I’m beginner in cello and I already know a bit of KABUKI DANCE

Haha I played in this orchestra in 5th grade.. I was a first, and now I notice how bad I sounded without vibrato XD, and now I'm in stairway again, except for seventh grade, and the songs are way harder but lol who cares :P

Yea, this song is Allegro which means it has to go much faster than what they are doing. I did a song similar to this song. It's called Lion City and it was also very fast. I think that songs like these need to be really fast to sound good! Trust me, I took orchestra for 2 years already (now 3) and I know when songs get faster, just like my teacher once told me that it is easier and we don't tend to speed up when we are not supposed to. Unlike slow songs however it takes so long to finish just one bar!!!

Helloooooooo you can't see the other bassist. Everyone should be seen.

As a bass player myself I feel like basses don't get enough love because not only are there only 2 basses and a million of everything else but the basses are shoved of behind the wall were no one can see them. Just rude.

ShinobiGaming yeah. I may be 2 years late but whatever, some of them were really tense while holding their bows and others that just didn’t hold it right

Purvit Patel and it’s still not the correct way cuz to do vibrato, you have to be in control of your fingers and not wave it for no reason. I am actually self taught at vibrato. I’ve been playing violin for 4 years
