Richard Hammond goes on a road trip in a Tesla Model X
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
After buying a Morgan Plus 6 not too long ago, Hammond has decided to have a go at the electric side of motoring. He has borrowed a Model X from Tesla to head to the Lake District with his wife, Mindy, and it doesn't quite go to plan. Let the range anxiety commence!

Real men don't need backup cameras. Driving assists (cameras, traction control, stability control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, automatic braking assist) are only there to attempt to compensate for people's inability to safely & skillfully operate a motor vehicle. As people get dumber, automakers will have to compensate by making safer & smarter cars.

I learned it the analog way and never hit anything. If they put the damn screen in the rear instead i would probably use it. New tech isn't always better. Regular parking (not those fancy 360°) cameras have huge blind spots and the driver is focused on a screen in the front. Lane Keep assists are bad too imo - Drivers get more and more lazy to lanechange. They just put Lanekeep and Cruisecontrol on and camp the middle lane with 100-120kph all day. Thats bad. At least here in Germany where people drive 160+ very often.
