You should clarify in a more noticeable place that it's a Cat-N car. The only place it's mentioned is "The car was a Category N back in 2018 but has since been fully repaired", which makes it seem like it's no longer Cat-N -- but that status cannot legally be removed. You could be opening yourself up to legal trouble there, as it MUST be disclosed to any buyer that the car is a Cat-N or you're liable for damages.

The sound balancing was awful in this video. Richard was constantly too quiet and the music was constantly too loud.

The constant chopping between shots got annoying as well

Some say… that he is legally deaf, and that he failed sound design class in college. All we know is, he’s the sound mixer for this video!

The sound engineer who dubbed this video clearly likes the sound of a V10 more than Hamster's voice. ...and music. It's a nice noise, but a 3 second lull every now and again would have been useful.

Glad it's not just me thinking that the audio is terrible. Whoever did the audio on this video should start looking for another job or get their hearing checked. Volume is all over the place with backing music that's louder than the main audio track? Wondered if I was watching a 20 year old KZread video with no budget or editing.

This video did not need any added music, the BMW already provides an excellent soundtrack, and it's always great to watch Richard taking a car out and telling his stories.👍

Glad to see the old top gear sound editor come back

Reminds me of the top gear KZread videos, where the music audio is so loud that you can barely hear what’s being said.

Turning on subtitles came in handy for this video... That sound mix is a bit of a mess. A shame as it's a great car, and great filming.

Who's idea was it to use the most abnoxious music and then make it obnoxiously loud and the voices annoyingly silent? This video gave me a migraine

Agreed. This could be the best vid on all of KZread, but I’ll never know. I gave up after one minute. I gave up on a video with a combination of The Hamster, a V10 and a manual - that feels like heresy. Might not be the worst thing in the world to send this one back to the editors for tweaking and a re-upload.

I tried 3x to watch this video. Changed starting points, just to see if it was my player. Sadly, no.

The sound editor from the old Top Gear strikes again! Why hear someone speaking when you can hear just the music.

Some say he’s deaf, all we know is he was the Top Gear KZread sound editor.

Really sad to see such a legend go, especially since it has built an image for the channel at this point.

Fond memories of my V10 M5. One New Year’s Day we woke up, no plans. Said to my missus fancy lunch in Paris. She said not a chance we’d make it. Straight to the tunnel from Hampshire. Off and didn’t let off except for fuel (frequently). Pulled up at the Hotel Bristol for 13.00 lunch. We were feet up supper on laps at 8.30pm. Ballistic and never missed a beat. Have owned the E39 V8, Two F10s and now in the F90. The E60 gave me the most fun road trip of my life. 🙌

I see the Editor who did the audio for the Supercars in France episode of TG is back working for you now.

Thought I was the only one with sound problems. But as I pass the comment section the editor is allready roasted. I hope it is fixed on the next video :)

Sad to see it go. By far the best Drivetribe car you've had on yet.

The music at the beginning and end drowns out Richard's audio. Unnecessary music ruins car videos.

I'm honestly surprised that this is getting sold. I feel like they could've easily paid this car off through putting out some more content (assuming they haven't already). And it's such a rare and clean spec. But the new owner will surely be thrilled :)

I guess they just want to present something new and start building and doing new interesting stuff with it. Also financially - not being backed by BBC or Amazon requires compromises.

Another vote for genuinely sad to see this gem leave the Drive tribe stable. This is the car that made me connect with Mike over the love of all things v10. But having heard one of this generation m5 saloons rip by me on my morning commute, I would describe that wailing howl as honey sweet. But I don't doubt that epic intake paired anger with the smooth swell. Sigh, I'll shutup now and to check the auction. Well done all! Can't wait to see what you do next.

It's amazing that sound production can be this bad in 2022. Wow

As a Tesla owner, I love the ridiculous acceleration and speed of it. However there’s always something missing while doing that, the sound and feel of an engine and exhaust. It’s a huge part of the driving experience and will be missed by many with new cars. RIP naturally aspirated engines.

A part of me is glad that Vehicles like this can be brought back to life/ better than factory and then relesed back into the wild, to be enjoyed. Its a fun cycle to watch and one day i hope to be able to catch one of these vehicles and enjoy it in person.

This is the content that makes me love DriveTribe so much! Cannot wait to see what is next.

I worked for BMW in 2007 and sold one of these, same colour but huge spec with lighter interior which I prefer - made 100% better by the manual and other mods.

The backing track made my ears bleed !

Hopefully this gets a reupload with the audio sorted out... It's borderline unwatchable.

Great engine sounds during the cockpit shots in this vid!

I remember Richard saying about a Murcielago V12 at the end of its life, in the sound it made you could almost hear "YOU'LL MISS ME WHEN I'M GONE!" Same with this car. The new M5 will be faster, and probably a better car, but while you're driving that V10, I'm sure you can't really tell 😁

Not sure this is comparable to the swansong of the last old school V12 and in my personal opinion Lamborgini's best car.

Some say the sound engineer is the same man who did the old top gear KZread uploads.

Is this video mastered differently or using different audio equipment? The V10 made my shoulders tingle, I don’t remember being physically effected by this car in previous videos. Edit: agree with others on the music being too loud at the end though.

It's gonna go for alot more, it's already at 30k GBP with days to go.

The sound reminds of the naturally aspirated Volvo 2.5 petrol straight 5 with an open exhaust. Just love the sound from a Volvo straight 5 and a V10 from BMW and the Lexus LFA. More of those please

Whilst Richard is driving, it looks like he is straining to look over the wheel. Did he forget his booster seat?

Hard to watch because of the sound mixing, music overpowers the dialog.

What's the reason "it had to go"? I can't hear what Hammond says because of the silly 'foreground' music.

Question for all: We all watch Richard's and James's videos as well as Clarkson's Farm. We all know that the magic happens with the sense of occasion when all three get together and there is a new Grand Tour announced. Who prefers GT and is it Mr Williams who provides the extra magic?

At least here in the US we got a 6spd manual in the e60 m5 but we don't get the M-touring models...
