@@andrewtan881 No... just... no. Maybe Hammond in Oliver, May in a lada & Clarkson with his head poking out of the sunroof of a 2CV... but that's a different show. I'd really rather not spend an hour watching Clarkson & May waiting for Hammond to catch up!

Leaving the bumpers off has turned this car into a beautiful thing, well done Hamster. Don't let Clarkson near it.

I’m glad that there are some people with the money and love for cars, to restore vintage machines like this. It’s wonderful to see them out on the road. I wish I could afford to do the same.

One of the most stunning jaguar ever made and sounds delightful.

I'm 74, & have always found the XK 150 to be the beautiful Jaguar ever built.

A truly lovely job Richard! That cat's purr is because she's happy!

Jag (Jaaaaaaaaag) definitely knows how to design and build a beautiful machine.

There's nothing like the crunch of a jaguar on a gravel drive.

If you ask me, that's the best looking Jag ever. Nice restoration. Beauty.

I love the way it sounds. I'd drive it for that alone.

Grey is not my favorite color, but this car looks great wearing a coat of it. Super restoration job. Cheers!

Richard is such a great presenter. Even on his own without the others he is fun.

This is how a restomod should be done. Built to be driven. Love it.

@@allosaurusfragilis7782 even going outside of his British cars, manual 550 Maranello, Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang fastback with the 390 engine option, 911 GT3, Fiat 500 TwinAir, Oliver.

Great car. I remember taking a "jaunt" with a friend who owned an XK 150 back in the 1960's. I was tucked into the rear seat well while another close friend occupied the passengers seat. It was an experience I will never forget.

Perfect Zen when watching Richard, Jeremy or James drive old cars and give their history. All is right in the world. Hopefully a new Grand Tour special in the near future too

One of the most beautiful cars even built.

I was offered an XK150 convertible for fifty pounds in 1969. I turned it down because the MoT had run out and it needed some welding doing. At the time, I did my own mechanical repairs but knew nothing about welding and it would have been expensive to pay someone else to do it. Fifteen years later I'd learned enough to be making my living buying MoT failures, fixing them up in my workshop including doing my own MiG welding and resprays and selling them from the sales front. The work the XK150 had needed would have been a trivial job for me by them. It almost makes me cry when I think what might have been.

This is sooooo beautiful, and the straight 6cyl sound is astonishing

Am I jealous, yes. Are you jealous, yes. Is that a beautiful car, very yes. Fantastic work and I cant wait to watch your new Show!

Love em or Hate em, Once you drive one you cant help but walk away in awe and that applies to most sorted Jags before 1970.

Love what you've done there, totally with you on the full bumper delete, it just makes all classic cars look so much cleaner and pure 🤩 although I love the idea of leather straps somehow the one at the front seems slightly overkill to me, but I'm sure in person it looks incredible!

For what it’s worth, that is a gorgeous motor sir. Well done indeed.

And that's why Richard Hammond is very enjoyable to watch in Top Gear. He has a real love for cars and the machine itself. It's like the song Red barchetta the very best description of how it feels to drive a real sports car

I know this compliment will be lost, but I can see the utter love that went into this restoration.

Such an exquisite car, I hope to own and care for something similar one day

After driven a few old and a few old cars, I do get the appeal of the older gearbox over the more modern one.

I am unbelievably grateful for the folks that have the ways and means to restore these classics. I have a special place in my heart for Jaguars, especially the XK150 and E-Types.

This car is a work of art, and I mean art. Fluid, lively, expressive. I'm so glad Hammond has restored it and given it love.

Yes, English luxury cars have never been the most reliable or the most well thought-out, but definitely the most beautiful! An Italian could be jealous of the Jaguar and that's what I say as a German!👍

Italy had their own beauties as well. Yes, I know what Enzo said about the E-type, and he was mostly right, but still. Italians are the kings of car design. And pre-war French, too (Delahaye, Delage, Talbot, Avions Voisin, Bugatti etc.)

Many cars are faster than this: and no-one cares. Thank you Hammond!

You'll never get cold in this. The engine heat burns through the dashboard into the small interior. Nice on cold winter days. But less desirable in the summer.

Ah I would watch that show if it was on amazon.... Can't be doing with yet another subscription.

Hi Richard, take a wrench and loosen the wiper bolts. Then you can then position them down lower so they are not in your line of sight.

A wonderful thing to restore a car you love and see it literally breath new life before your eyes

Lovely car, great colour and for what it's worth I happen to like the boot straps... Jags to me are like grandchildren, I've had my own but now I prefer others to have the responsibility of looking after them and I'll enjoy them vicariously through vids like this.

Bonnet strap gotta be a brown instead Richard. The black will absorb to much sunlight

The old Moss transmission was a challenge and a pleasure to work -- I enjoyed it on a 64 XKE I had back in the mid 60s. Driven the 120 and 140 but not the 150.

@@tww1491 I find newer vehicles without a challenge are totally numb and devoid of any personality. I’ve personally never driven a car older than 1981 however I’d love to get behind the wheel of some older stuff.

Modern manual gearboxes aren't as nice feeling as older gearboxes esspecially old British manuals. They are so tight and crips it's mental.

Agreed, I even liked the Moss gearbox in old Jags, you needed real driving skill, but get the changes right gave a lot of satisfaction.
