Richard Ashcroft and Liam Gallagher embarked on a week’s worth of North American concert dates together, starting in San Francisco. For this very short tour, the former lead singers for Oasis and The Verve will specifically play San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, New York (Central Park SummerStage) and Philadelphia.
Richard later came out to take pictures with the fans, which was very nice. One fan even got a funny picture with Ashcroft holding up his t-shirt which features a picture of Ashcroft wearing a t-shirt which features a picture of Ashcroft, which features a picture of Ashcroft wearing a t-shirt which features a picture of Ashcroft, lol. They also sold posters which had the same Droste effect or Ashcroft’s picture recursively appearing within itself. :P
Oakland native Steve Wyreman, joined Richard for the final 4 songs. Steve also has got a feature in Ashcroft’s new upcoming album this September. RA was scheduled to play in SF last year at the Mezzanine, but the show was cancelled due to illness. Everyone was excited to see him as well as LG.

Beautiful song and an amazing artist ....not many left these days , Urban Hymn's such a mint album and the 90's music with The Verve and Oasis was the best

What a beautiful show. So simple, elegant but passionate interpretations of all these classic songs
is the clear example that we should never stop fighting, seeing him interpret his songs is to see him surpass himself in each performance

Phenomenal songs - the power of his voice and the raw sound was epic for the show and especially for this song. Come back to SF soon!

A desperately sad, beautiful song! The first few lines: “Me and my friend looked in her red box of memories… “ etc. Like they’re at the house of an ex partner who’s recently died and they’re sorting out her effects, diaries, notes etc. Just didn’t know whether she loved him when she was alive but now he does, “But the love stuck to her veins you know…”. There is love if you want it, my Lord… “ as he cries out regretting the non expression of ❤️. Yes when young girlfriends write diaries about boyfriends and then split up. Tragedy strikes decades later. Even with wives and husbands 😥

The outstanding voice of richard Ashcroft is not lost on me, I just wonder if it would have worked with him joining Oasis, not musically,.... but the egos. That would have been a band and a half. It is still a joy to hear Richard as he is a class act.
