That's why he is the best male narrator. Not only could I listen to him read a tax code, but he makes the characters come to life. He manages to both enhance the book (without it feeling forced), but also recede into the background so I am 100% focused on the text. There are books that I may not otherwise have purchased, except that I trusted both his taste and his talent. Can't wait to listen to this recording.

As someone who is visually impaired, I am beyond grateful for people like him.

I believe I'm the first male comment lol. No I'm not gay. Just another admirer. When I saw him on the Hobbit extras, I thought this guy has the best voice in the world. Just enormous charisma. I thought, why is this guy not more famous? It's almost a shame he's an actor. Someone with that amount of charisma should be running the country or something lol.

I am very picky with voices 😀 for last 40 years I had only 3 people I could listen all the time . First was Alan Rickman , second I will don't say because is my native Country fella 😉 and third is Richard.

With all the reading that he does, no wonder he's an incredible conversationalist.

It's just as well that he's not a telephone salesman...I'd have all manner of stuff that I neither needed nor wanted; "A swimming pool for your second floor flat?" "I'll take TWO, please...but only if you just keep talking to me!" ...plus enormous credit card debt! 🤣😍😍

Loved the book, and really enjoyed his recording. Most importantly the fact that he doesn't try to "sound" like a person he's obviously not (a little girl, a young woman). But the feeling is there, the emotion is right, the performance is spot on and gripping. I've loved every second of it. The book beeing excellent helps of course ;-)

Well , I am a sighted lady but still appreciate a clear and concise person like Richard Armitage reading an interesting story . I write stories for children & young people. I used to be a teacher! And studied drama at College . Margaret Beirne.

I could listen to him talking about anything for hours... Luckily, with audiobooks, I can actually do that! :)
