I was bought up in a privilege family, being the rich kid at school. I was never picked on and never bullied others. I can't understand how anyone can bully another human. The ethics installed in me, led me to being in service to humanity. I also walked away from great wealth and made my own way in the world...all the time being, helping those who needed a comfort ear, or a new start in life, or just someone to talk to. So many people think if you are rich, you don't have problems yet i can tell you, though i was bought up in a beautiful house, with a pool, boat, classic cars, fine art, antique collections etc., it was just a house and not a home. Today I live in a home, a real home...not much money but filled with wonderful moments of love, happiness and joy, whilst my siblings, whom all are bullies, narcissistic and deep down, very troubled. So in the end, who is the rich one?

We had ways of dealing with bullies when I was a kid. It worked. They didn't benefit from bullying. I grew up to become a Martial Artist and a Martial Arts Instructor. We taught and still teach kids to have self confidence so they didn't become targets for bullies. We didn't allow our students to become bullies, but they didn't need to be because they had self confidence. They could walk away from bullies, and had no need to become a bully themselves. Most bullies are bullies because they don't feel good about themselves. They think if they put someone else down it makes them look & feel bigger.

Good for you! I despise bullying and teachers should be aware when kids are being bullied and protect those children from bullying and was never bullied. Maybe it was my size or built, being light completed that no one bullied me. I had a boyfriend who liked me, whistled when the windows were open as we played on the school grounds games with our teacher/ coach. I loved school , loved learning new things to learn geography, math, Algebra, typing, science, I couldn’t learn enough. I loved getting the newspaper. Learn and learn . It was like an obsession for me to keep learning new things on the farm about cows, pigs, bulls, horses, chickens, what was done on the farm to keep it working. Guess ZI was searching too much. Dad told me to settle down and act like a teenage girl. So I did. I have 3 sisters and one blue eyed brother. We are of Mexican decent and Latino too. My family is loving and constantly learning about each other our accomplishments. Everyone is treated with respect and love. We love each other. Sometimes not but that doesn’t last long. Goodbye….

What bugs me is that the writers have the bullied victims acting all defenseless and don't stand up for themselves. I was bullied as a junior in high school for months until I finally snapped one day and fought back with an unimaginable fury. My teachers and guidance counselor all supported my action. The bullies never bothered me again. In fact, they wanted to friend me up.

Sometimes fighting back make it worse. I know it from my experience. I was fat girl in school and you can imagine what was that. I once got into a fight with a bully, we both were called by the principal and she played the victim, claiming that she tryed to commit suicide by cutting her veins a few days before our fight and that I almost ingured her hand again. The second bully I got fight with I punched her in the face, made her lips bleeding, and again they blamed me. Fighting back is not a good idea. Just let it go. You see bully's have problems too. Most of the cases they are really miserable kids, who just search for attention the wrong way.

As one having been bullied for any of the reasons in these clips, I am drawn back and aggravated about how easy these situations got resolved. Having been bullied or being a bully does NEVER resolve in a hand shake or a promise. It will NEVER go away. For what I was bullied for 46 years ago, I am still getting bullied today. For what my bully bullied me for, he is still to this day, a bully. I base my way of life in the hope not to get bullied ever anymore.

These writers should talk to a waitress. No one who waits tables goes to work for the overtime. They go for the tips. The federal minimum wage for tipped employees is $2.13/hr. I like what they're trying to do, but it just comes off as clueless about working class people.

Hi Jennifer. I know what it feels like to be the victim and it always saddens me that so many people have this experience. That’s why I think it’s so very important to tell these stories,. The first step in addressing the issue, is to accept that the problem exists, and also how prevalent it is. Globally, people’s perceptions are becoming increasingly polarised, in the extreme. You can almost taste the emotional intensity and volatility, that’s lurking in every discussion, no matter how far from the astonishingly enormous scope of think the point here was to set an example for the way things should be

Good for you kid. I went to school with a lot of Asians and Latino/ Mexican kids, they never bullied anyone that I could see. They were all kind and respectful to me and my family. We were not rich but rich in happiness and love. Our Latino family loved people, although our family was large, we took care of our grandparents, cared for our uncles, aunts, cousins that were living a few miles away just to keep in touch that they were doing good and were healthy with no needs. It was an awesome life, happy just going to school and having a place to sleep. I had a home.

I love how most of these were about dads and daughters (or that in the one instance of a mom/parent, it was a boy being bullied). I realize the topic was dealing with bullies, but I am a pro-father advocate and find it refreshing to see this portray fathers (with absent mothers for whatever reason) as strong, positive parents in their daughter's lives as opposed to being a bumbling idiot as a parent.

Sad bullying has affected you so strong. Do your children love you? Are you respected. If there is love anywhere you go, take the the feeling from it. Is there warmth when you visit the library. Take the feeling that people love reading books. Feel the love that people have for just reading. That is how I found my love for reading. I had a pile of books I was going to give to the hospital where they have books for the patients to read, but my grandson took them to the library nearby. Reading takes me to Ireland, Italy, Greece, it’s in the reading that you can be in a country without actually being there. I love Greece, but because I am wheelchair bound will never be able to climb the steps or rocks that one sees in Greece. You have that chance that I do not. How about that? Opportunities are there for everyone, although mine are limited, I find other ways to make myself happy, painting with brush and colors. I will never put myself down, I can’t afford to. Never will I be ashamed I cannot find myself being bored. Hope you understand there are many things to keep you happy. Like I am now painting. Here’s hopping I put some joy in your life. I can be your friend too if you wish.
