awful. jj is less talented than jones and even lock. im pretty sure that they put a smoke screen hmmmmm we would clearly considerate to take a qb here just to hope that some other teams will jump ahead of them to get Nabers. if not, odunze or an offensive lineman.

I love JJ, the only way you take him though is if you're somehow sure he's going to be a marked upgrade over Daniel Jones. I don't see it. The Giants desperately need help in the trenches, forsaking draft picks to move up to draft an unproven rookie to presumably be thrown to the wolves behind the worst o-line in football to me seems like one of the worst possible decisions imaginable. I would go as far as to guarantee the failure of Daboll and this management group and that has nothing to do with what I think of JJ's potential. He simply wouldn't be in any kind of position to succeed.

C'mon, make it so... Maye to WSH and JJ to NYG and the Eagles cruise for another decade.

Michigan fan who also watched every game. Eisen is out of his mind. He’s Daniel Jones 2.0 and is an NFL is a backup at best. The Giants drafting him would be a huge mistake. Unless he falls to the second round.

I'm typically fully on board with Rich's takes, especially his ones involving Michigan players as I'm a Michigan fan. But I think this would be incredibly foolish. The Giants have one of the worst lines in football. The only thing they should be thinking about doing is either drafting the best guard or OT in the draft, or trading back a few spots to acquire more picks and then taking the best available guard or OT. You don't pay Daniel Jones all that money and then not even give him a chance to compete with a line that gave up 6 sacks a game. You certainly don't do all of that only to then draft a QB who many would say is a comp to the guy you already have, that has already won a playoff game for you. I would go as far as to say trading up to draft JJ would 100% guarantee the end of this coaching/GM group. Forsaking a draft to get a guy who will not be in position to succeed behind the worst line in football would just be a horrible decision, point blank period.

So the Giants trade this year's 2nd rounder and next year's as well, to move up to #4 and take JJ McCarthy who basically gets redshirted and doesn't really impact the 2024 season, and obviously neither does the 2024 2nd round pick which was used in the trade. The Giants 2024 season has no offensive allstars except Left Tackle Andrew Thomas, and the Giants end up as a 6 win team, and Joe Schoen and Daboll are both fired to make room for Bill Belichick who gets to be GM and Head Coach. In the end, drafting QB in 2024 didn't buy Schoen/Daboll one extra second. Or, the current regime could draft a stud WR at #6 and another offensive weapon at #47 and end up as an 8-9 win team and save their jobs. Hmmm. What to do.

I honestly don’t understand why McCarthy is a better prospect that penix? Penix’s biggest criticism was injuries and he’s an immobile pocket QB. But he’s been healthy for 2 years now and ran a 4.45 in the 40 with a 37.5 inch vertical so he’s very very athletic. So how is McCarthy better?

Succeeding in college does not equate to succeeding in the NFL especially at the qb spot. Rich has to know this yet keeps blowing this horn.

So Jones, Lock and then draft...JJ McCarthy?? Why do so many lose their minds in the offseason? Are these 100s of mock drafts because everyone is so bored? Giants are drafting a WR or trading down. Lets all get our minds right.

At this rate, if Drew Lock is the bridge and DJ is unreliable, just get a WR and either hope to God Penix is somehow still on the board or go ahead and continue developing Tommy DeVito. He showed some flashes of promise in his rookie season last year, and if the Giants actually exhibit the patience and grace they should have given him last year, I could see him start to take off. He's already won the trust of the locker room and the coaches. Bolster that O-line, get a true #1 receiver, and let's see what DeVito can do with that.

I don't really get the idea that New York is somehow more than other places. If winning is important, than the Giants are not the place in 2024. I cannot believe that in a sport where Green Bay has one of the most iconic teams in the league, the city or state in which a team is based, has any merit whatsoever.
