If you believe the stories (and I think there's some merit to it), Belichick wanted to trade Brady several years ago, thinking he was near the end, but Kraft overruled him.

He has a lot of pieces in place. A lot of solid young talent with some above average vets sprinkled in. Goes without saying that he's a lot more competent of a coach than Meyer, but I'd say he's a lot better than Bradley or Marrone too.

The problem with the plane theory is proximity, he wasn’t fired immediately after that came to light. Urban is kinda right, though. Like, we all knew Bobby Knight was a d*ck, but nobody at Indiana gave a crap as long as he produced winners. A decade after your last first place conference finish, though, you get fired for grabbing a kid’s arm.
