Wreck em’, we at TTU are stunned. Regardless of how it ended here, no common fan ever wanted him to go. He built up TTU’s rough and rowdy reputation
As a Michigan fan, really loved and enjoyed his coaching and press conferences. So sad. RIP
Started to tell a friend this morning that Mike had died and I couldn't get it out, just started crying. Didn't see it coming (my tears). Like losing Norm Macdonald to me, ya just know there will never be another anything like them. Great tribute Rich love ya man.

Wow, I can't believe I just read that. Norm Macdonald is the only other public figure that has made me feel the same way about their passing as I do about Mike Leach. Going to miss his humor and wit every day like I do Norm's. Two incredible people with truly unique ways about them. Rest in peace you crazy pirate.

What happened at Texas Tech was between him and the administration. The Raider nation never stopped loving him and is in mourning today.

You are exactly right. Tech alum here and I always said that if we played against Leach going forward, I would pull for his team out of spite. Tech football owes its modern day existence to him. I hope that our boys run onto the field at the Texas Bowl this year carrying a huge pirate flag in his honor. The man deserves it! WreckEm!!

I wish RE would've gone into a little more detail, even Adam James didn't think anything that happened was an issue and his attention whore of a father made a mountain (of epic proportions) out of a molehill

Best coach I have ever met. Was one of the main factors of me being able to make the transition from being a DC to a HC/OC. The world is worse off without him.
You were one in a million coach. I loved your cameo in Friday Night Lights.
My daughter is a junior at State. I graduated law school at Bama and am a season ticket holder. But as much as I respect GOAT Saban, I cannot help but admire Coach Leach. A genius of a man. Hail State! RIP Coach Leach
RIP, Geronimo the pirate. You lived a full life, strong winds and safe passages
I'm hearing the theme to Married With Children playing in the back of my mind as he's going through his wedding advice...RIP Mike Leach, there will never be another one like you.
Lincoln Riley is from his coaching tree. 3 Heisman winners, not to mention Tim Couch (finished 4th) have Mike Leach, among many others and their hard work obviously, to thank for their success. RIP Sir.
My Leach was the only coach that I was a "fan" of - meaning that I followed his career - and enjoyed listening to him as the occasion occurred. RIP.
R. I. P. Mike Leach. The deadpan delivery of everything from coaching facts to outrageous comedy was legend. There are ZERO interviews or discussions that Coach Leach had where I didn’t look at the TV/radio funny. The man was a brilliant idiot and will be missed by all odd fellows.

I love you. Rich. Great process. Leach was One of kind. Football treasure
The Clip of Coach Leach giving advice is both laugh out loud funny and poignant at the same time.
Auburn fan here. Leach was a joy to cfb with his humor and will. The game will not be the same without him. R.I.P.
RIP Coach Mike Leach. Brilliant, funny and innovator supreme. Sad day for CFB and all of humanity for that matter.
So honest and real too. Wow. Those who knew him were blessed.
Dude was a renaissance man.
RIP 🙏 he was the coach for Washington state 😢 when Gardner Minshew started there it was mike leach got Gardner Minshew came to Washington state
Thanks for this Rich and thank you Coach rest in peace 🙏
He was one of those guys you weren't quite sure was pulling your leg or serious. Probably both. His tongue was firmly in-cheek his whole life. Never cared much about the defense, or he might have won a conference title or two more, and maybe a natty. His offense was that good. I hope we get more coaches like him, that aren't afraid to be themselves, not apologetic for the decisions they make, and are interesting outside the world of football in a conversation. The sport needs less of the stodgy, question-dodging, "don't you know who the star is?" coaches.

You nailed it brother! He was a true Viking/ Pirate. He was never intimidated or scared of anything or any question and he lived his life by being true to himself and unapologetic for it.
Coming from a husky fan I am really gonna miss this guy
RIP Coach. Miss you already and college football will ,not be as entertaining without you. This is the one time I wished you hadn't "passed". God Bless the entire Leach family.
As a fellow Pepperdine Alumni, R.I.P. coach. All the Pepperdine family mourns you. Wave’s forever. 😢

Leach and Wazzu were such a perfect fit. Even as a fan of another P12 team, I was a little sad when he took the MS State job because I thought Pullman was where he was meant to be. He built a great program and culture up there, and brought a lot of character to this conference. Something it desperately needed.
I don't follow college football, so I barely know names, players, etc. But it's impossible not to know Mike Leach. A real tragedy to pass so young. And that monologue reminds me that if I do get married again...yeah, I'm definitely eloping.

This is a testament for how far reaching Mike was... I was a casual observer of college football but the late pac 12 games were always entertaining and Mike's cougars were electric.. plus he was a comedic genius
Great tribute to a great guy! R.I.P. Coach.
RIP coach Leach. You will be missed.
Rest well Pirate.... You may not have been a Raider but you definitely had the mindset of a Raider
Rest in Peace, Mike. Thank you for all you've done for Texas Tech, Washington State, Mississippi State, and college football in general. We will miss you.
My condolences to the Leach family. What a hilarious interview this guy was. 💜
What an absolute LEGEND RIP SIR
Awesome guy thanks for sharing R I P. COACH
Really sad day for sure. Really enjoyed this guy and his masterful work. Not mentioned in this video was his playoff "rant" that is my personal favorite when Leach was at WSU as well. Best part, he was totally correct and if CFB is smart, they may want to take a listen. The method since it's inception is bad, this year included. RIP, Coach Leach. You'll be sorely missed by many.
Thank you Rich
Great Tribute... Well Well Done!!!! Thank you...........
His marriage advice is EXACTLY what happened to me when prepping for the wedding. That guy had some wisdom.
Brilliant coach. Hilarious person. Rest in Heaven, Coach.
Dang it. This one is tough. RIP Coach.
1 of 1 indeed. rip mike
Just heard about this damn... You were one of the greats Mike.
Nice tribute. RIP Coach
I left WSU before Mike was HC there. I remember back to when he was, I think the feeling from other Pac-12 teams was they were concerned going against his offensive scheme. He seemed to have an answer to everything a defense would throw at him. He was a true Head Coach.
Definitely my favorite Coach Not Named Nick Saban in my lifetime, RIP Coach Leach
RIP Coach, I will miss you.
Forever a Coug. Tough way to wake up but I think everyone knows Mike would have wanted us to have a hell of a day. The world lost a cool one
A very talented football coach and as rarely as it is he was a his own man.
Prayers for his family and friends

College Football community lost a Legend. An ABSOLUTE Legend…😔
The coach was right about marriage. All the women went crazy, especially my mother in law. All's I did at the moment was pick out the beer and seeing how my mother in law had a few glasses of wine, I showed up and shaved off half my mustache and told her that I couldn't decide. After I shaved she started to relax. Rip, Coach Leach. You'll be missed.
6:16 How the heck is the room not rolling in laughter by this point??? I'm sure all the married guys in the room were shaking their heads in agreement. 😀
RIP....

Shocking and sad😢.
