    I'd say Brock Purdy in Super Bowl LIX. I think it's pretty much do or die time for the 49ers with the talent that they currently have on their roster. You know that Purdy is going to have to get paid next year, so they'll need to drop one or two big names so that they can afford to pay him. He wasn't the reason the 49ers lost to the Chiefs. The Chiefs weren't doing a damn thing until after Dre Greenlaw went out and that freed up Travis Kelce. Kelce only had 1 catch for 9 yards while Greenlaw was still in the game.

    For anyone functioning properly, there are not serious concerns about Burrow's ability to play a full season. His injuries have not been chronic tissue injuries or repeated breaks and tears; they're freak accidents caused by 300 pound men falling on him. Every QB under the sun has had injuries like that.

  • @IanSane
    @IanSaneАй бұрын

    Allen and Lamar are the two good quarterbacks that I feel are the least likely. Their teams keep coming up short and it just seems like they can't get over the hump. I don't know what's going to change for them to suddenly turn that around. It isn't like they're not already playing well or giving it their all. Rich's answer about Burrow is pretty logical and I think people forgot about him because he got hurt last year. Stroud is still an x-factor. Herbert could get a big boost from Harbaugh being the new coach. But an NFC QB seems more likely because they wouldn't have to get past the Chiefs until the Superbowl and that gives them better odds to miss Mahomes entirely. An AFC team might empty their tank beating the Chiefs and not have enough left for the Superbowl itself. Purdy might be a good choice because I figure if the Niners get back to the Superbowl but don't face the Chiefs then they'll probably get it done. They just keep having this bad luck of running into the same opponent.

    I hate it when Rich says Burrow is the only human being to beat Mahomes in the playoffs. The only active QB? For sure. But there are active players from the Tampa and Cincy squads still playing.

    Allen is the more talented out of any other QB not named Mahomes But unfortunately the most talented doesn’t always win the Super Bowl, ie: Dan Marino

    2023 Josh Allen had more total offense yards, more total TDs by a wide margin, and same turnovers as the NFL's voted in MVP and Most Improved Player combined! COMBINED. "Yeah, but Josh's stats are...." Silence! Josh Allen was led the analytics - #1 QBR and QB#1 in PFF Grades.

    It wasn't in the playoffs, but can I take the only QB to be undefeated against Patrick Mahomes, with the team who beat him last year in the opener and who fell just short of facing him again? Jared Goff and the Lions. Don't fact check me on that, but the Lions are winning the NFC this season. I'm shouting it to the mountain tops, this is 14+ win Lions team next season.

    If Josh Allens defense held Mahomes to 17 points Allen would have gone to back to back SB and won at least one of them. Dont talk to me about lamar. scoring 10 pts in the AFC championship the supposed mvp couldnt even get a 1st down when it counted.

    Lamar, Burrow, Stroud, Goff, and Love are all better than Purdy, but Purdy is on the 49ers and his contract costs 0. Gotta be Purdy.

    It'll be a rookie star while on a rookie deal, or a vet with a solid roster. My money is on Stroud, Purdy, or Goff. No team with a QB that's getting paid top money aside from Mahomes has proven they can do it. Burrow is interesting because he's failed due to injury rather than ability or the roster falling apart to support the bloated QB contract. So if I had to pick a guy who's been paid, it'd be him.
