Same story :) I just started reading A Single Thread and I just had to know how the stitches look. Thank you Sarah, I didn't expect to fall in love with learning embroidery, and I'm so glad you made these extremely patient videos.

How would you or can you compensate with the cross stitch?

For cross stitches specifically Julie, you can do a half cross. Use a sharp needle to pierce the fabric at the halfway point of your stitch
