Im so grateful to know it
12 minutes of logical instruction without any unnecessary tangents makes it easier to follow. Love it. Also appreciate, as a newbie, the info on using the sustain pedal and not assuming we all know how to use it properly. Thank you!
I am an intermediate self taught keyboard player with Yamaha PSR SX900 .Today I found this absolutely brilliant video from Ted .I can play any chord and was looking out for a video for hand coordination and arpeggios when I found your channel.Your video is very clear and you explain really well and demonstrate how to play.I will definitely follow all your videos and thank you so much. Please keep giving us more such videos

I first saw Ted in HD piano channel. I really thought he should start his own channel. I am glad he started. Ted is a hidden gem.
Never touched a musical instrument in my life, bought a 66 keys keyboard for my 7 years old 1 month ago and here I am trying to understand and play the content of this video to help him progress. Thank you youtube for the possibility of slowing down the video!
Is not easy to find teachers like you Ted on YT. Please, don´t stop your videos
This is one of my favourite tutorials for piano chord rhythm patterns. Firstly he speaks slowly and calmly, gently - so you're not hit with hyped up loud fake enthusiasm - he also progresses slowly and explains EVERYTHING - so you're not left behind. He is a gifted teacher - which is rare in my book. He also has beautiful wide open childlike eyes - giving him a very approachable appearance. With all the bad press on Los Angeles - you might ask - how did something so beautiful come out of LA? Blessings brother.

I agree with just about everything you wrote. But, strange comment about Los Angeles.... there is some bad press just about everywhere I have lived! Ted, thank you again for your wonderful teaching videos!!

Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Underrated af The chord’s progression he uses is from Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ for those who’re wondering. The original goes G, B, C, Cm.

I don’t think it’s fair to say its from “Creep” because its a pretty common chord progression

You don't have the right to say it's underrated

It’s just a minor plagal cadence man 😂
It’s amazing how accessible this is for wide levels - noob/amateur/intermediate, everyone has something substantial to take away from this lesson. Excellent stuff, subscribed 3 mins in!
I love doing different versions for the different refrains. The more the refrain repeats, I make them more komplex. Keeps even a simple pop song interesting
Am now 59 and always been interested in piano since i was young but i never got any chance to learn but now thanks to your channel am starting to learn as they say learning is a lifetime process .....no age limit😂

Thank you very much for making it easy to follow- your voice , the structure, etc. Well packaged.
Just so love this video!! The screen is so clear , and tou teach very well. Thanks for your slow and clear demonstration. 😃
Loved the correlation between guitar and piano and the 16th base note.
A lot of great things to learn from this video. Thanks for explaining it so well.
Love this explanation and it really helps to think of the percussion elements of rhythm development, great takeaway! Thank you!
I can't afford piano lessons so I am one of theose persons who rely on KZread to learn, so thankfully there are people like you who are out there gracing people like me. While I am at it, I would also like to say that I have picked up some great lessons from many other teachers on KZread but every now and then someome comes along and take me over that next important hump and your lesson on chord inversions just did that for me with extras. These extras are what I was missing for a long time which other teachers either refused, didn't know how to or just didn't care to due to a non paid subscription or lessons and I do understand that. Everyone has to make a living some how. So thanks again for your grace have a blessed weekend

Wow, I can see your eyes shining the entire time. Honestly, you seem really happy to make this video. Very inspiring! :)
Thanks for sharing. Nice improvisation
Ted, I'm a guitarist who wants to learn how to play piano. Sub divisions explained like this has helped me enormously. Most piano teachers on youtube don't get this. They note spell a chord which is important... but more important is the " how " to make it sound like music. You're onto something. How to make chord progressions musical by rhythmically breaking up chords and arpeggios... now your talking. Please expand on this. It is the key to making chords become music... to become a song. Well done mate. Hope you become a big hit on youtube. I've been waiting for years for a teacher such as yourself!

LOL, I'm also a guitarist who wants to learn piano. I don't know why I always thought it would be too hard, but a few weeks ago I suddenly realized I could probably do it. Started considering it more seriously today. I really liked how he compared things to the guitar. That was helpful. Blessings to you on your piano journey!
Such a helpful video! Please make more! 🎹
I love the way you teach. So easy to understand. Thanks a lot brother.
This is the first video of yours I’ve watched and immediately got the sense that not only are you a well rounded musician but an exceptional teacher also. Definitely subscribing! Thank you. :)
First time watching your video. I immediately subscribed and liked within first few minutes. Because it's very very rare to find people who can actually teach. Kudos! Thank you so much for doing videos like this! 🙏

Exquisitely explained! Very articulate its rarely seen when the teachers hands and voice are in perfect sync while providing simple instructions to us KZread learners. Remarkable teacher. Well done.
Wow, this is very helpful for my practice. Thank you!
Wow it helps me, thanks it help me see things differently on the piano
Excellent. Thank you so much. Very detailed and easy to understand and learn from
One of the most well explained videos I've seen
This was incredibly helpful and I was excited to see the pickup in there. I didn’t know what it was called but instinctually started doing it when challenged to add something extra to a left-hand accompaniment. I’ll definitely save toss to refer back to.
This is by far the most helpful and easily digstable video I've seen on this subject. Thank you.
