Rhyl and St Asaph Angling Association has twenty two river beats on the rivers Clwyd, Elwy and Aled in Denbighshire, North Wales, United Kingdom.
We are part of the Riverfly initiative, conducting kick sampling for invertebrates.
Here are the first blue-winged olive nymphs we have found this year. They have distinctive barring on their legs and tail and their gills are very different from other olives. They have an ungainly swimming style too!
And they are a bit tricky to film!
