Rhiannon's Mabinogi Part 1 with Dr Gwilym Morus-Baird
The story of Rhiannon is found in the first and third branches of the Mabinogi, an ancient Welsh classic that contains the Celtic myths of the Welsh. One of the most important books written on the subject is 'Rhiannon' by W.J. Gruffydd, one of Wales' most prominent poets and scholars of the 20th century. But why is his work so ingenious and contentious?

Great video! Never enough research on any subject really.
Great video! Greetings from Saint Genevieve, Missouri United States
Very thought provoking. I think your "guess" is spot on--just look at the way movie-makers handle the modern mythology equivalents--superhero narratives. How many different Batmans are there? Where is the "pure original epic narrative" about Batman? Certainly not in the earliest comics, where Batman uses a gun and shoots people sometimes. No, the branches of the "Batman-ogi" would not stand up to this kind of assumption either. Instead, you have an ongoing collection of people telling the stories of Batman from lots of different perspectives, and it would be impossible to try to connect them all to each other.
Diolch yn fawr!

I'm trying to find out what the Mabinogion actually is and an outline of the stories. This posting goes in so deep I am totally lost. Is there a simpler way in?
Sounds like a Welsh Bible
