My CRP is over 100 and has been for months. My entire body hurts. But I get up and function because I have to. I have to care for my dogs and for my house. I retired a little early after my diagnosis so I'm very lucky to not have to work. I'm on humira right now and it helps very little. So we will probably try something else soon... I'm glad your markers are normal... that means you have a much better chance of achieving remission. My rheumy has told me I won't ever get to remission.

Is weight gain a issue for you?
Thank you for your videos! Very helpful.
Just started following you. Very imformative and great explanation. Above all, you've got a beautiful smile😊
Hi there! Is fibromyalgia hereditary or genetic? My symptoms hit hard around September after moving from Arizona to South Carolina. My doc did X-rays and diagnosed me with osteoarthritis and said I’ve had it for years but I’m feeling like I got hit my a truck suddenly because of the drastic change in weather. My mom informed me she was diagnosed with fibro several years ago, and I passed this info onto my doc. She did a RF factor blood test with the following results: Your Value

Apologies for the late reply. To my knowledge it's not hereditary but family members do tend to be in similar environments (even stressors) which contribute to a chronicly overwhelmed nervous system (which is basically what fibromyalgia is in a nutshell). Hope this helps

Please check out Dr. John Sarno. His discovery has cured thousands of all kinds of chronic pain including fibro. You can heal.
I always have my markers negative but still disease is active. Finished a course of Predisone for one week and now on Plaquenil. Started already a plant based diet but struggling to give up caffeine😢
Hey there.... my RF ans CRP are normal, but anti-ccp is off the chart high. I have all day long stiffness especially in the hands. Can hardly close them. Just started MTX.... had a drug free remission for 8 minths before this last year. What is going on.... diet is super strict as well.

Sounds like your body might need something different or something extra but I'm not sure what that would be. There are many different diets and ways of eating so I'm not sure what that looks like for you but I hope you find a combination of things that work well for you 🌺

How old are you?

@g0thica 49. Doing loads better on mtx. It has allowed me to live a life again. Still have about 15 mins of morning hand stiffness, but now I can go to the gym, hike, play guitar etc. Again. Almost just like a normal person. I don't like having to take the mtx injection, but at least I can enjoy the time I have. I still think it is possible to come off of it once the right diet for the individual is in place.
Have you ever been offered Rituxamab for your RA?
@RestfulRheum
Жыл бұрын
No but when I worked in rheumatology I saw some patients who were prescribed Rituxamab. Usually their RA was aggressive.

Does that have side affects of weight loss?
