For my personal view the best regional express in germany. Especially the first class is so great!

Actually I feel the same, normally my channel is about long distance or international trains... well for a regional express this is a long distance buf i fojnd tnem really comfortable. I also have a video on the route Luxembourg- Liège, those trains are the same but I don't like that trains.

Great trip report I like the fact there is a shopping centre on the ground level because in a big city you need to have many retail outlet in stations and also the waiting area at the beginning of the video it was very busy but the rhein rhur metropolitan area has many towns and cities if it was one single city it would be around same size as Moscow or Istanbul but anyway the trains they have made good use of the space inside so loads of seating but also standing space and the express part is important because if you were travel from one part to another part of rhein rhur surely you would want to get there quickly instead of stopping everywhere so it's a good concept more European metropolitan regions should consider doing

It's not really a shopping centre. Every major railway station have a lot of shops.

Amazing video, I really enjoy your videos :) However, I have a question as I will need to take a rrx train as well soon. Where can I buy a ticket? Do I need to look for a rrx vending machine at the station or can I get a ticket from a DB machine as well?

Thanks :). You can buy the tickets from a DB machine as well. The price might be different per route you take but in general you have cheap local tickets that are valid all day in a German state on all regional trains (and pretty much also in busses trans and metro's). These Rhein Ruhr Express trains are being operated by different railway companies. This one is being operated by Abellio but you'll find the same trains operated by National Express as well. On my most recent video (Eurobahn Hengelo- Bielefeld) I'll explain a bit more about These local fairs.

There is no diffrence in the tickets, since this is a public service payed for by the government of North-Rhine Westfalia, the normal VRR, VRS, AVV and Westfalen Tarif Ticket conditions apply. It is operated by a private company though.

Hey there. I just found your channel to day and I became a big fan of your work instantly. I have one question for you. In early September I will take a trip from Berlin to Leeuwarden. First I will ride the international IC to Arnhem and then change onto a NS Intercity to Leeuwarden. You already did a trip report on the IC between Amsterdam and Berlin(albeit in the other direction). I would like to ask you if you could do a trip report on what to expect on the NS IC. I think this route is served by ICM trains. It would be very nice if you could do it. Anyways. Please keep up the good work. Greetings from Bavaria.

Hey, thank you 😊. You probably will have DDZ or ICM trains on this route. I don't have a trip report on an ICM train yet but I will probably make one soon. The thing is, I don't know if I can make it before the beginning of September but I'll try to do my extra best.

To be honest, walk on a market in Venlo or Enschede and try to keep distance there. You won't succeed so the Germans are quite disciplined (In Germany not in the Netherlands)

I haven't experienced such a busy place since March. Now it will happen in The Netherlands as well, but on the 13th of june, when i shot this video this wasn't normal in the Netherlands at all. I just hope everybody will stick tto tne rules, i dont want another lockdown.
