This site is an oasis. It is exhausting defending Penix.I was shocked that Atlanta took him but we all knew he was not getting past 13. This kid is magic. DeBoer did not make Penix...Penix made DeBoer. Picked him up and carried DeBoer on his shoulders and delivered him to Alabama.

Exactly! Just like people thought Tom Brady was carried by Bill Belichick. We found out it was the other way around -- Tom Brady carried Bill Belichick. Belichick looked horrible once he lost Tom Brady. People will find out DeBoer will be ordinary without a special QB like Michael Penix Jr.

RG3 is dope.

Penix is the most pro ready qb in this draft.

I think penix is the best QB in the draft. If he stays healthy he will be special.

Without the injury draft board, when I look at the entirety of comments from detractors of Michael Penix Jr in the draft it reads like: Michael Penix is a younger Russell Willson, with more accurate arm, easier to coach, and is better with his team mates. I hope Penix has a coach who early in his carrer has him do 10 to 20 times in a row, in a couple games where he throws only hot routes or throws open guys on short/mid pass routes. I hope Penix studdies how Tom Brady moved around the pocket and could supernaturally stand tall in the pocket without getting sacked. But to quote Rich Eisen, "Are you kidding me?" Would you tell me Pete Carroll would have dumped Russell Wilson before he won a Super Bowl, or shortly after? I am a huge Penix Jr fan, but guys throwing that nice a ball kind of blind me to negatives. Some guys throw the fastest, but some put the spin on the ball to throw a hard heavy ball. Most guys throwing this kind of ball with problems will sail the pass, or maybe throw it short under pressure. The ball from Penix Jr is very catchable. Penix doesn't sail the ball, but pressure will be harder to figure as I believe an NFL team of players around him will make him better. Pressure isn't the end of the world either, QBs have to constantly evolve to stay ahead of Defenses anyway. I've said some good things on Penix Jr, but this really is the worst to say about Penix Jr going into the draft other then injuries. I would draft the kid!

Really hope the Vikings draft Penix at 11! I think it’s a good chance it could happen.

Let's remember Adrian Peterson pretty much broke every bone and still has/had a Hall of Fame career.

Penix will make cousins look like a rookie. Penix will be starting by mid-season, if not from day one. Cousins will become the most expensive bench warmer in NFL history.

Also give the offensive line credit. Penix was sacked 11 times.
