Monday is the best day! It gives them the week to fix any bugs that come up, so that come the weekend us folks who can’t race until the weekend, get pretty much all the bugs ironed out. There’s been a bunch of hot fixes all week, so us weekend drivers get the more polished new content. Only Reiza are mental and work weekends, S397 deserve their weekends off!

No one works as hard as the team over at Reiza and I often wonder why they commit to a weekend release schedule as you always need to be quick off the mark with hot fixes after an update goes live. Most other titles aim for the first half of a week release then get those small issues sorted ready for The Weekend influx.

Having said that I know what he means about odd release days and not being around to jump into something when it’s all new and shinny as I do also get that, why do they always drop new stuff when I’m at work feeling 😁

Hi, been driving all the BTCC content in this and all the other Sims..... always come back to the Rfactor 2 cars though. BTCC is and always has been the most electrifying and enjoyable experience out there.

A bit of stability would be nice and it’s a bit edgy on the limit.

the BMW is an awesome fun to drive, so good. great video, looks like you are mirrored, you turn the wheel to the left in right handed corners

The touring car content is some of the best out there and the cars just feel amazing to race.

You can say what you want about r factor 2, and I've been more than critical in the past. But when they get it right, like they have with this Beemer, it's as good as anything out their. It's well worth the price imo.

Great vid mate👍🏻 Physics and ffb in rf2 are second to none. Imagine if someone would make 90s btcc content for rf2, one can dream right 😜 ow yeah and it looks strange that your steering opposite on the cam to what I see on the sim haha

Thanks mate and there is a mod I’m looking at for RF2 featuring late 90’s super tourers but it’s not seen a lot of love recently so going to see if it still works ok. I really must sort that camera out just keep forgetting until after I hit record !

I think there has been a bit of tweaking to some of the cars by another modder and trying to find out more for a possible future video.

Great Video! I love the BTCC Content to.Have you driven the Infinity since the newest Updates? For me it feels a little better then the BMW. I think it drives a bit less snappy.

Thank you mate and that's a good point i have not gone back and tried the Infinity since its initial release and it sounds like i should. I think that's the car i will check out Thruxton with !

Plan on the purchase tonight after work Jason. Interested to see how Thruxton and Croft official scans compare to the workshop versions I’ve driven the heck out of.

You will have a blast mate as the BMW is amazing to drive and the laser scanned version of Croft is noticeably different to the modded version with a far more dynamic track surface.

Just got the BTCC dlc now... loving it. However, I'm not finding much in terms of setup guidance. What was your setup for this car? Ai manages 1:39s, my best is 1:42s. Can't find more speed...

Mate i dont mess about with setups much at all. I tend to move the brake bias about for each track and then just drive the wheels of the car and see where i end up !

You could grab yourself an RF2 bargain or two mate.

I think it already has knocked RaceRoom off the grid. in terms of player numbers. I can't find any TCR grids on RaceRoom anymore for ranked racing. which is a shame as I still think RaceRoom does TCR the best. though I am all in for RF2 BTCC too. got all the cars and just starting to get some practice in. LFM here I come. soon!

It has been truly amazing to see the impact LFM has had on RF2 and it’s been enough to change my mind about this title and I have to admit I have played RaceRoom a lot less in recent weeks due to the rise in popularity of this title.

I agree, I’m a consumer and I want to be entertained, I don’t care about a parent companies accounting ethics or any ethics to be honest. I love having this debate with other VR users. I’m not buying it because of MSG! I then ask, don’t you own an oculus / meta headset, last I checked they paid out millions upon millions in fines due to their ethics?!?! Then it’s either silence or I wanted to buy my first headset and didn’t want to spend too much! So it’s ok to ignore ethics due to your personal circumstances and as long as you personally benefit? How’s that different to buying btcc content then? That’s usually followed by silence or them buying the content haha

I’m lucky that sim racing is just a hobby to me and as such the politics behind it all just passes me by as I just want to relax and enjoy some top quality virtual racing.

Erm? Nailed it how exactly? The BTCC lap record around Thruxton is 1:16.2 yet people are running 1:10s in this on LFM. 6 seconds quicker is not just down to "people have bigger balls in sims".

I'm not expert but the car just felt right and sorted and seemed pretty similar from a visual aspect to the real counterpart, but hey if its not quite right then i can't wait to see what it's going to be like once it's been updated by Studio397 to be even closer the the real thing.

@@SimRacingJason just to add to this I think I may have an explanation for the massive time difference. At Thruxton in real life I've found out that the BTCC cars have to run hard compound tyres just because of how brutal the track is for tyre wear. But in RF2 people can get away with running softs or meds. That could account for 6 seconds.
