They were on SmackDown! roster for a while in August 2002 on the road to SummerSlam during Rey debut and The Rock final run.

It’s so crazy how it feels like the rock and rey mysterio exist in 2 separate universes to me

Man 10 year old me would've probably be jumping off the walls if I ever got to see that fight.

I've never heard any wrestler speak bad about The Rock (Except Ahmed Johnson) . Even CM punk who doesn't like praising others, didn't say anything bad about The Rock.

I've heard people say he can be difficult when it comes to putting a match together because he has definite ideas of what "The Rock" would and wouldn't do which sometimes goes against traditional match psychology but that's about the worst thing I've heard about him.

Originally the plans revolving around the feud, Rock would have brought the Hollywood Rock character in the feud against Rey Mysterio.

I mean it could still happen, reys still going, rock is always in amazing shape..

Rey came in right as Rock was out the door mannn I wish we’ve could’ve seen that match but at least we got Eddie Vs Rock.

I mean they were on the same brand and roster in 2002 during the rise of the Ruthless Agression Era in August road to SummerSlam. During Rey first run and the Great one final singles & title run before official Hollywood Career.

I do remember the Rock saying he wish he could've wrestled Rey Mysterio & HBK back when he inducted his father & grandfather in the HoF!

He had a tag match with Triple H, technically a few. But the most you'll see them mix up in singles capacity is Royal Rumble 06.

I don't think the match would've been any good. Would their styles have made for a good match?
