Great review! I'm completely blown away by how good my Pretensis is. Accuracy is as good as any sub £1000 rifle. The magazine shouldn't be getting stuck like that though . To fix it there's a hex screw in the centre of the magazine. Tighten this a little at a time with the supplied Allen key then it should slot into place without any effort. Jealous of that blue laminate stock btw. I'll have to see if I can get one of those.

Bought one just after Xmas , aint used it much due to weather abd work ect , still trying to find the best pellet for it , QYS my usual go to pellets ain't much cop in it , JSB 10.34 ok but nothing special , Biz Mags the same .. gonna try a few lighter pellets next though , plus the trigger is a little heavy , this might have a bearing on accuracy as id imagine its pulling the rifle to one side slightly .. so Lighter pellets Trigger adjustment Magazine application Is slick and fits like a glove ... no forcing it in at all , just slips in ... Very informative and honest vid for someone looking to purchase one .. Btw .. id say that scope was an Airmax , not a sidewinder ...

Thanks for the comment Mark. I’m envious that your Pretensis works smoothly with the magazines. You were correct about the scope, so thanks for highlighting that. I’ve been able to add a caption to correct this in the video. Let me know how you get on with it when you’ve done more testing

@@zubysan Ahhhh spoke too soon .. no wonder the magazine slides in like a knife through butter ( and probably still will after ive explained the comment ive just made ) the ball bearing on which the magazine clicks onto ( there's a,small recess in the magazine ) doesn't poke up enough to engage the mag , therefore the mag is loose in the slot , hence the pellet is being probed off centre or at an angle ( ive left one in the mag to show the RFD when I take it back ) its all crumpled on the skirt .. no wonder accuracy is suffering , I could have tried hundreds of types and head sizes to no avail .. I can see the little ball bearing , and it lays beneath the mag housing so doesn't engage ... you can see the mag wobble around when cycling , and if you tilt it to the right , itll drop out .. DAMN IT

I've got one of these in .177 calibre,grey laminate version, no problems with the magazine's,mine fit perfectly.ive fitted a Hugget atom in place of the air stripper , Not any difference in accuracy,it's pellet on pellet at 40 metres. I'm using Norma gold ft 9.1 grain .It's liking a medium heavy pellet, 8.4 are not as good ,this rifle likes heavier ones JSB 10.3.Chronographed at 11.56 with the 9.1 pellets Like I said pellet on pellet at 40 and great results at greater distance,I gave some to other shooting buddies and the shot same one hole groups at 40 metres,so get your self some ,they really work in this rifle

Second hand one for 300 with scope .light silicon on mag loads easier and 200 to 180 bar even more accurate sub 1 moa at 40 meters that's all inside a5p as accurate as fx and all the expensive guns .

I'm keeping my eye on the reximex ixia MK2 compact , if they turn out to be reliable as well as accurate I'll be getting one .

Question please. When filling a PCP rifle should one not be looking at the manometer/gauge of the bottle/compressor and not the one on the rifle?

Hi. I look at both. If they aren’t in sync I go by the bottle but whatever I make sure that I don’t fill the rifle to full; I always aim for 10-20 bar less than max

Lubricate the thin bar on back with drop oil...

Did u pull it through til it was clean I had strip myn and got 3d printed magazine never had any pellets falling back in to firing valve

ive had two pretensises and have a orange laminate im sure your mag problem is your trying to push it in not straight or maybe smear a drop of gun oil on the guide

Are those chrono grach results right? Seems low on power and quite variation? What was fps results an spread please?

Nice gun but some issues with your cribs on mag loading and fill gauge. I always use the gauge on the tank, and the mag loading is just practise. Had a couple of Krals in the past which use same mag. Know what you’re saying and had same problem. Just got to be careful before you push mag home. Finally, but concerned on chronograph readings which seem low. Similar reviews have gun measuring a consistent 11.5 and reasonable on lower power settings. Think I’d take gun back. Sorry. Good, honest video, though.
