Honestly Marss played great. He made an overwhelming comeback game 2 and had crazy tomahawks with a tether grab... He even had to deal with two stitch faces this set. Mute was just too good here

Top level Peach and ZSS are both such crazily explosive. Being down a whole stock means nothing in this matchup

Mute is amazing

They were scrapping for real. Marss taking deep breaths game one makes it seems like he either needed more time to warm up or needs to work on nerves. Mute was in flow-t state and Marss was feeling the pressure. Muteace over here breaking his hands making Peach look like a top 3 character.

Funny seeing Marss using Dthrow when he's been shitting on people for using Dthrow with ZSS for years.

Glad to see Mars play again! However I could feel his frustration when he placed that grab in the wrong direction on game 1 and it just cost him the game. I did notice he flipped the switch on game 2, then rage peach happened. I don’t blame him for being over the set and could feel his frustration

As a ZSS main I hated watching him go up so far in game 2. Way too often with ZSS you cook and get a huge lead, and then the opponent starts turtling last stock and you just wind up losing somehow cuz ZSS can't just kill with stray hits. It's awful

@@Shmicah1235 A simple fix to ZSS would be to buff her grab, specifically the massive lag behind it. Nothing too crazy yk, but her grab has to be one of the worst in the game (if not the worst). Which ironically is what Mars likes to condition, he likes to condition for grabs. Which does work a few times, but unfortunately it’s way too big of a gamble for the reward, which I feel has backfired on many ZSS players, even Mars 😅

@@DarkWolfJr1000 100%. Her grab is bottom 1 and it is not even close. The startup makes it so you can't grab oos and tomahawks are tricky, you get no combos unless they DI bad in which case you get a tech chase at best, and up throw basically doesn't kill until 170% with bad DI on mid weights. It's insultingly awful and makes defensive play so strong against her.

Great play by both. You could almost see Marss at the end of game two saying "Who does that??? What???" which is why I like top level technical Smash play because at that point it's more about mind games.

As a Peach main, this pleases me. As someone who has ZSS as one of the characters I secondary, it hurts. My Peach will never look like this, but I’m always Peach gang.

Mars played very well game 1 and game 2, but I think by game 3 he was kinda done.

My top 5 would be tweek, light, zomba, dabuz, mute. Even lights gives the #1 to tweek

This was all mental for real. Marss got flustered and panicked when the most intense moment came, and made critical flubs. Mute even when they were getting styled on remained cool and just made adjustments, not letting Marss condition them and play their game. Game 2 was just a difference in experience I think, that was completely nerves making Marss take that L there and it sucks to see. After that his confidence was just gone

I like MuteAce for the absolute dedication to their character. For me as a fan however, watching Mars and Spargo in games where they both gained a massive advantage only to lose to one hell of a fxcking Peach play is hard. Makes you wish for a loss (just being real. Knowing MuteAce they could care less about what I think and will continue to rampage haha)

Dis hurt straight into the heart to watch 😞

Even though I wanted to see a Marss win, it's fun to see people actually playing skill based characters that don't just have broken framedata. Mute is an absolute legend though. Hope he keeps winning like this.

I came here to see how well Mute fared with Mars. Mars and Samsora had great sets and they were always great to watch but Mars would ultimately come out on top. I cant believe Muteace is able to sweep here, that darn well, Mutes Insane.

Missinput in game 1 and in game 2 the choker genes activated, should've gone to game 5 for it to truly be a great set.

Marrs was doing the right things against peach. Getting The last hit agasint peach tho is very tough since she has float and her Nair js extremely annoying to deal with. Since mute csn just react with. Peach alot you have to just trick him.we can see that in gsme too. With the up smash.

I’d take a kill throw or better shield pressure so that people can’t just literally hold shield whenever you’re near them and be completely safe. It’s so annoying to watch mute just put up shield whenever marss gets close, and there’s nothing he can do ab it except try to mixup with movement.

Game 1, Marss had good chances but lost because of a mistake, however at those percentages either could win. G2 he low-key threw, can't even lie. Game 3 was just a snowball. Mute can play annoying and trade-y as he wants two games up. Tough loss for Marss tbh, should've been a much better set.

Marss might have a nervs problem I always hear hoe he destroys top players with whatever character he wants in friendlies, but even when he was top 3 it never seemed like he played like that in bracket What would it take to see friendlies marss in a tournament

Probably because in friendlies people are less likely to camp. There’s no stakes so people want to play the game in a fun way, but in tournament everyone is willing to do exactly what mute did in this set, hold shield whenever zss gets anywhere close

Loses to good zoners, campers, swords etc. Shes dynamic to watch atleast. But when ur char loses to Simon and stuff. It's prob not a top tier
