Good video on cleaning the inside. 👍 Just be carful with WD40. It works fine for cleaning and you need to lubricate with a real oil afterwards. WD40 removes the oil and evaporates quite quickly, within some weeks. If you put it on a motor bearing (original ones are not sealed), the bearing dries out quickly and a replacement (best with abseils one) is needed.

Gracias Marce. Min 38 del video señal de.ajuste a 1kz y apartir de ahi podes escuchar lo que suena. Hay registro por encima de los 20kz impecable. Muy Poco desgaste de cabezas como se puede apreciar en las fotos y el audio. Pronto estara en tus manos. Abrazo

Hi MIchael To clean almost the entire machine I have used isopropyl alcohol of the highest purity, for the contact parts I use a contact cleaner, especially on the potentiometers and preset, and logically the heads with isopropyl. Como te va Fede ? No importa que este venida a menos lo importante es que funcione bien son tanquesitos estos bichos y siempre se los puede Aggionar y levantar. Hola Nico como va , Mira con alcohol Isopropilico se limpian los cabezales, y depende que zona de la maquina hayas visto uso varios productos, puede ser desde Blem hasta limpia contactos u otro mas delicado que se llama Lem que es para electronica. porlo gral uso productos de laboratoros Delta . Hey, I have a problem, I want to set bias trap in rec mode and in playback mode. In rec mode I make it settings successfully the bias trap , but… in playback mode the bias trap is unable to set in the Chanel 2 with coil L801. I screwing with the screwdriver the core of coil L801 but no changing in milivolts. In Chanel 1 I make it setting successful (less then 50mv) but in Chanel 2 no modifications. I changed the repr. Ampl. Card with card in Chanel 1 thinking the coil L801 is defect but no changes ! What is the problem??

Was that WD-40 you used as a lubricant? What were you lubricating? I’m a new owner diving into maintenance. Excellent tutorial (& music).

Greetings, I have a MK4. I was attempting to test a light bulb in the power light (red) socket while the deck was connected to the power but was not powered on. The Positive and negative terminals of the socket touched and made a popping sound. Now none of the control buttons work, play, fast forward nor rewind. The deck still powers on but none of the functions work. Are you familiar with this problem and the solution? Thank you, russ

Hola Rolando, no sos el primero que me lo dice, se ve que llama a la confusion por las teclas que le cambie, estaban destruidas, le puse las de un suicase que tengo destripada al lado, que son las mismas del mk lll es una Mk lv del 75 . This is NOT a restoration but a cleaning. On my opinion restoration means:en.wiktionary.org/wiki/restoration 12/31/2019 · restoration (countable and uncountable, plural restorations) The process of bringing an object back to its original state; the process of restoring something. Or you did not touch the electronic parts at all by changing some of the electrolitic caps for example.

Hallo, leider nur in Deutsch dieser Kommentar. Es handelt sich um eine Revox A77 Mk3 die Du reinigst. Ich hätte bei dem Aufwand den Du betrieben hast, direkt die Entstörkondensatoren (Knallfrösche) gewechselt, die sind nämlich defekt. Die Video Musik, naja, ich habe den Ton weg gedreht, Geschmackssache. Wenn ich eine Revision durchführe, dann wechsel ich sämtliche Elkos, Tantal-, Entstör- und Motorkondensatoren. Sämtliche Trimmer und die Lager der Wickelmotoren und des Bandlaufs werden ebenfalls gewechselt. Weiterhin viel Erfolg! Gruß Ralf

Hi Harvey, The music belongs to an experimental music group from the 70s of Argentina called Art 11, which had a medium success in Europe, it must be put in context, the machine belonged to the director of the group and many of those audios were recorded with that same machine in the 70s. You are hot for something else I know, but not posing as a Yankee you get it, I know perfectly what a restoration is and this is it, if you do not change any capacitor it was because he did not need it, its audio is immaculate. He changed all the keypad and belt kit. also all the faders and swichts were cleaned. and all engines lubricated. if you want I have to see a full recap of a B77. Bueno, tu trabajo no tiene nada que ver con la restauración. La máquina está bien una vez limpiada, pero no ha sido restaurada ni se le ha proporcionado un servicio integral. Se acaba de volver a colocar la antigua contracorriente y la unidad de freno se destruyó rápidamente. ¡¡¡Clase!!! La guía de la cinta se limpió sólo a medias. Oh bien. Es mejor cambiar el nombre de tu vídeo a Limpiar un A 77 MK xxxxx

@@Mixarteaudio Claro, sé de lo que estoy hablando. Mi trabajo principal es Studer Service...Reparo y restauro máquinas de cintas analógicas. Sin embargo, lo primero que hago son las grandes máquinas de cintas de estudio. Pero a pesar de esto, puedes despertarme por la noche y puedo informar inmediatamente qué defectos ocurren con un Revox A 77/B77/PR 99 según la norma. Por supuesto, estoy familiarizado con todas las revisiones que deben realizarse. Después de tantos años, muchas cosas son rutinarias. Saludo
