Revopoint Mini v1 vs SEAL 3D scanner for small objects

Based on feedback we retested the Revoscan Mini using the latest software and posted the video to our channel: • Revoscan 3D Scanner up...
I retest the Revopoint 3D scanner against the newer SEAL scanner kit comparing results of a few different types of small items and even put it up against my Einscan SP. The results are pretty strong for a sub $1000 scanner kit.

Creality Raptor blue laser scanner is the new rising star. It can scan really small gaps the Einscan SP has problems picking up. Small to medium parts. Downside you have to use marker mode. Better than the Einscan SP for small details. But more work and the software is minimalistic and unstable. I have the Mini, Einscan SP, Einstar and the Creality Raptor now. The mini is a hit and miss in my opinion. It depends on the part.

HI, love your Video. Can you do a comparison with the Seal and the CR lizard?

Thanks for the video, I've been curious about the Seal. I've been using the RevoPoint Mini for about a year to scan engagement rings to custom make matching wedding bands. As the other person commented, the updated software does help with scanning and processing flow. A couple things that would help with both scanners is placing a couple items close to small items being scanned to give more tracking points. I use wire nuts stuck to the turn table with poster putty. It fixed a lot of my tracking issues. Aesub vanishing scanning sprays help a lot with shinny or dark items as well. RevoPoint has replaced the Mini with the Mini 2 now. Sounds like the biggest change is a larger field of view which help with more tracking points. I was very curious to see how the Seals multi axis turn table worked. Do you think if you printed a second mount that could be screwed closer to the turntable on it's arm, would you get better scans with very small items? Thanks again, you gave more information than the other comparison videos!

My problem with the mini is the noise I get sometimes. Even with scanning spray. Tried to scan a key and in the small gaps I got way too much noise and had to clean it. But scanning a bottle cap worked really good. Better than with Einscan SP or Creality Raptor. It’s a hit or miss with this scanner for me.

Looks like the original RevoPoint Mini. I've been using the same scanner for about a year.
