It's kind of fascinating, companies are increasing their pay as well but people know it's a trap! They know that the boss is going to resent 'having' to pay them that much and are just going to force them to work that much harder to justify that salary and make their lives a living hell. Just more money means you'll be the first on the chopping block when it's time to scale back again.

@@krejados1 didnt see anything about educational requirements decreasing, and in my personal experience I've only seen them increasing. The point was clearly understood. These background checks and other human resource garbage policies are hindering businesses more than helping them. Btw, I'm trying to find employment and I'm getting background checked. And if serving time doesn't mean anything then obviously society is messed up and you would agree. Why not try something new that more aligns with trust and respect instead of deceit and shame?

If corporations are getting that desperate raise your wages to living ones, provide healthcare, paid leave, and a safe work environment as well as benefits. It's not hard.

Hell, NYC jails are full of people who've been imprisoned for more than a year just while waiting on a court date. That judge has no respect for the law. When convicted the law allows that you get sentenced as the court deems appropriate. It doesn’t suggest though that sentencing is conditional on the convicted social calendar. Come on, judge. Get your head on straight. They didn’t break into a Walmart which, if you were a black teenager would get you 3-5 years in prison. They broke into our Capital and our Constitution.

@@netsum0 Ummm … that’s not entirely accurate. She had been arrested, and had not yet been prosecuted, and had not yet been found guilty and had not yet been convicted. The original poster was mentioning her bail conditions, not her sentence. As distasteful as her actions my have been, the presumption of innocence prior to prosecution allies to everyone, not just the people we like. And, yes, the American justice system is unfairly harsh on certain segments of American society. But a judge who permits someone to travel when that person has not yet been found guilty of an offence is not demonstrating disrespect for the law.

Seeing these traitors get justice is easily my favorite segment. Keep it coming!

The latest reports are suggesting that even the inner circle (not including Trumpster Fire himself, of course, he's a special kind of delusional) are chomping at the bit for their day in court too. They get death threats every day now and they know, if the penal system doesn't give them something to assuage people, it's only a matter of time before some nut with a gun doles out a bit of vigilante justice on one of them. They all deserve to rot in jail for the rest of their lives but yeah, nobody deserves to get taken out like that, so for once even they know it's the right thing to face to the music.

The reality is that it's a slap on the wrist; she gets to show up in January to start her time. Imagine if a drug dealer was like "your honor I'd love to do my time but next week is cochella and I have previous business obligations. I'll tell you what, I'll just voluntarily show up to prison in a couple months. Trust me and don't worry about my passport or that private jet I booked for a one way flight."

The problem is more likely that they can only get them on minor stuff like "trespassing", because no more appropriate category exists.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure the girl serving me coffee doesn't actually use her double major in math and music while she's at work. It seems pretty excessive for her employer to require a degree of any kind, really, since a high school student can serve coffee, and count change, just like she can.

Companies will go to all lengths to hire employees. Except paying them a living wage.
