Yep, I hear you there...learning alot these days from this stuff..lol. or maybe just getting old......best to you and yours my friend
That is why we watch. My favorite Opinel is their mushroom knife, it has a hawk bill blade and a brush embedded in the other end. It came with a canvas sheath also.

Yep seen that. Probably best shroom knife out there 👌 be safe
Great video George! That Camillus looks like the Wireman’s Knife that was issued to us by Uncle Sam, except that our issue knives had black scales. Colonial Knives were the first I owned, and I have a small collection of them. I don’t know a lot about them, but the company was formed between the 2 World Wars. They made knives for the Navy and Air Force, and are still in business today. Sorry you broke the scales on the Colonial folding knife, but I think I know you and that Colonial knife will be back, only better than it ever was!

The relief cutaway on the back of the screwdriver blade of the electricians knife is just so you can get to the nail nick on the blade while both blades are closed. Thanks for the video.

Haha, doesn’t suck sometimes when it used to take us 60’s babies 10 minutes to do something & now it takes us 2 or more hours to figure it out 😩. I think we had way too much fun in the 70’s. I no I did 😵💫. Great video again 2CG!

Hi George, forget the plastic scales on the Colonial knife. Pin the knife without the plastic scales and made a new wooden scales that you can glue on top of the steel sides and make the small holes for the bail.

Hello George! Just wanted to let you know, that Camillus really brings back the memories. My Dad gave me the same knife (only with the black scales) as my very first pocket knife at age 6. It only took me about 5 minutes to then get my first "nip" from it! My Dad looked down at my bleeding finger and said, "Well, did you learn a lesson, son?" as he chuckled and got the bandaids out. I loved that knife and carried it for a couple of years, taking it out of my sock drawer every day once I got home from school, whittlin' every stray stick I could find. Sadly, it is long gone except for the memories. You've done a great job cleaning it up! Keep up the videos, I really enjoy them!

I suspect alot of us out there got into knives that way, that's why we tend towards tradition pattern knives. Muscle memory 💪. I saw that because my real memory is going fast...lol. glad you enjoyed it. Be safe thay sharp and...oh wait you learnt that early...just saying.
Hey George. I have restored a few electrician knives recently. I really enjoy them. Quick comment/question not related to knives. Have you ever tried smoked spam. I take spam and score a diamond pattern on one of the flat sides and put a bbq rub on the spam. Smoke it at a max of 225 degrees for about 1.5 to 2 hours. Slice it for sandwiches or dice it and cook with eggs n cheese and eat on a burrito.

Lol...nice. BUT...Doctors orders. After my heart surgury I had to change my diet. I have high cholesterol which is not good to no fatty, or red meat. Basically vegetarian diet with skinless bone less chicken once a week for protien...it was hard at first but I'm still standing so there that. Appreciate the support my friend. Ok ..I do sneak a steak about once every month or so. Lol
Great job, George!

Love the knife restorations George the Camillus electricians cleaned right up with that really awesome rust remover and the french opinel lol came out really nice too! The Colonial looks like it was a booger bear but I saw somewhere in the comments about doing wooden scales and I have to agree that would add so much character!
