This was SO helpful, thank you! For those wondering about the image, it seems it is included in his BIM After Dark if you bought that. If you didn't, I used the Glass Block image from the default library and it worked alright.

Great video. I liked how you went through all the steps and explained everything, my only negative comment is that it would have been easier to follow if you would've deleted the part you messed up on the transparency. I say this because I was writing notes down and labeling the key points with numbers and it threw me off. Overall I really enjoyed the video and will definitely try to incorporate this into my future renderings. Thank you for a great video.

I am doing plumbing design in revit. I am trying to update pipe materials. What I have done is that I have created a PVC type pipe. I have given it pvc martial finish where the color of the pipe will be the color of pvc. My system type is sanitary. When I draw a pipe on the floor plan its color appears green based on the my visibility setting for plan view. But when I switch my view to realistic, wired, consistent colors etc. then the pipe color changes to either black, cooper or other colors but not pvc (white). I want the pipe color to be pvc in the realistic view since I have selected pvc material when I have created pvc pipe type. Could you help me with that. Can you please tell me as to why the pipe is not changing to desired color in realistic or any other view.
