Same! Love the entire line. An electrolysis tech was looking at my skin through their microscope lens and said it was beautiful. I owe it all to this product line. It’s helped minimize my pores and keeps it clear and hydrated.

the rice one was my first korean sunscreen, but unfortunately when my skin was sensitized, i noticed it would sting. the whitecast + advertising it as whitecast free is a huge pet peeve for me (even though i am pale and can easily use it, i just don't like the ethics of that) which just contributed to me not wanting to repurchase it even more. did manage to use 3 tubes of it though.

About the snail essence. You physically cannot produce slik without stressed snails. The happier they are the more they produce the unhappier the are the less they produce so it’s very much in the company’s interest to keep their snails happy! PS: sorry for the weird wording but I couldn’t figure out how to spell the m word.

I'm planning to upgrade from the Booster H to the Booster Pro in their next 50 percent off sale. I've been using it with the Peach and Lily copper peptide serum and it's literally lifted my hooded eyes. (I started using it on half my face only to see the difference and it was flabbergasting!) I'm going to look into the serum you referenced here, though, because the P&L one is pricey. I was definitely shocked at how well the device actually worked, though. And I agree with you on the sunscreen - I thought that BoJ one was the absolute best thing ever until I tried one of the newer ones. It's still a whole lot better than what we get in the U.S., but it's not the best like it once was.

Hello Alice 😃. Oh how I love the Mixsoon Bean Essence (I have repurchased this - love it so much) I have noticed a beautiful difference in my skin texture from using this - I am still using all of these except for Cosrx - I have tried Jumiso Snail EX Ultimate Boost Facial Essence. I have so many different toners - but I really do like Anua. Beauty of Joseon and Skin1004 - are two of my favorites for sun protection - always have these on hand. Medicube is on my Christmas list - this is one that I really would like and think I would use most often - however, I will wait for your Christmas videos with all of the devices that you recommend. ❤❤❤ I received in my last YesStyle order the MEDI-PEEL - Collagen Naite Thread Neck Cream, ooooooo I love the texture - I love applying this! I never really have used specific products for my neck, I have always just used whatever I was using on my face. But, I loveeeeeee this neck cream so much! I have tried the Strivectin neck cream but it did turn my neck a little red and felt some irritation with it (so I ended up just using it on my forehead to finish it up, lol). Have a lovely night - you look great! Enjoy your weekend!🌸💮🌸

I know this is counterintuitive, but my skin has been so reactive lately that I haven’t been willing to try the Anua toner. I bought it based on your review and have been too chicken to try it, likewise the Skin1004 centella ampoule. The BoJ sunscreen is still one of my favorites. When my skin is being difficult, it’s one of the few that I can use. Every time I consider trying one of the new sunscreens, I am constrained by some salicylate in the formula-usually butyloxctyl salicylate. It’s annoying.

I remember using the SKIN1004 centella ampoule years ago before anyone even knew about it and it had no reviews. I had damaged my skin from microdermabrasion, it was so bad I could not even touch my face, water was painful even cold, and had to sleep facing up as my face was burning in pain. So I used to drench myself in that ampoule I found randomly on amazon at that time, and then cake my face in LRP cicaplast and vaseline and after 2 weeks of pain my skin was healed. I wasn't a huge fan of the BoJ sunscreen as it was actually to dry on my skin, I prefer the SKIN1004 and Scinic sunscreens

I'm also a big Medicube Booster H fan plus use the Heartleaf toner from Anua in a spray bottle. I think you're the one who put me on to Vegreen in place of the Cosrx snail mucin and I'm preferring that these days. Funny that I used my Skin 1004 Centella A. tonight for the first time in a long while. I'm just finding it a bit redundant, like the Anua more. I'm also spraying Hypochlorous Acid as the first step after I wash my face morning and night and I'd say that has made a significantly noticeable difference. That's why I only have patience for a single additional toner/essence, which I use right after that one dries.

  • @AliceintheRabbitHole

Yuuup, yeah I think it ends up being a case of cumulative effects. The Anua works just a bit better than skin1004; combine that with other things that also work “just a bit better”, and next thing you know, your whole routine is elevated!

  • @agiles6483

Skin1004 was a very early Korean skincare product for me. I discovered it on Amazon during a Black Friday sale. I do still find Centella Asiatica to be soothing and continue to use Skin1004 products. However, I have begun to look for products where in addition to the complete extract of Centella Asiatica, I see the active components have been extracted and added in specific amounts. Sometimes referred to as TECA or Titrated Extract of Centella Asiatica, these are asiatic acid, madecassic acid, asiaticoside and madecassoside. I am curious to see new labels and the amount of the plant extract itself expressed as ppm or percentages, if I understand that correctly. I continue to use the Mixsoon Bean Essence as a hydrating serum that suits my skin very well. I am using up my snail mucin products because I hate to waste product or the efforts of the 🐌. I also use and have good results with another vegan alternative to snail mucin, wild yam root mucin.

I have atopic dermatitis and my skin gets really fuzzy every winter. That ampule was "nice" on face same as the cosrx peptide booster was (neither of them being really making much a change there) , but those two on my body skin during winter as a first layer and then putting good ceramide moisturizer on = game-changer for my winter body skin. I sometimes needed to moisturize 2-3 layers after shower during winter, but with either of those on the bottom and moisturizer on top and boom my skin has been feeling great. So same experience; ampule on face is nice, nothing wondrous, nothing bad just soothing and bit of hydration - but for irritated body skin it really helps as the first layer and it helps the moisturizer to work extra as well. After shaving/sugaring or irritated skin on armpits, under breasts, rash on folds or eczema there -> those two liquids are amazing ways to soothe skin.

  • @mierkablue

    @mierkablue

    3 күн бұрын

@@wiseowl1580 Well skin types differ a lot. Atopic eczema when ti gets bad is often treated with steroid creams and I have used those along with different types of heavy apothecary creams since I was 10 years old (now 45) - so for some skin conditions is is not quite as easy. :) For that specific need getting the oomph from the peptides seemed to really help. I live in the north and we have actual winters with snow and heated air gets super drying so when my skin gets unhappy during winter season or in the hot summer, it is *really* unhappy - including rashes, bleeding, sweelling, inflammation, continuous itching. I do double moisturizing routine after every single shower from late autumn to spring and heavier moisturizers before really hot weather and then like "only" good ceramide lotion when it is 25C +. Coconut oil does not work on my skin, but comboing things like AmLacting, Cerave, Eucerin, Aveeno, Atopalm, Aestura and Illioon depending on the season does work. Yes occasionally doing some oils too but they have to be very spesific - I usually use washing/shower oils from Bioderma, Eucerin or Aveeno. For that lovely roulette any fricking tool is welcome and if it helps me to cut of my moisturizers into just one and my skin genuinely surviving with that without dropping back into that steroid cream territory - you have no idea how valuable that can be. With this routine that I find overblown but which has actually helped my skin get healthier than it has ever been - I have managed to cut back in the steroid creams and meds and I needed to use them very little over 2 weeks last winter.

@@AliceintheRabbitHole I have a few. There's a drugstore chain from Germany that you can find all over Europe. They're called DM (Drogerie Markt) and they develop a lot of cosmetics. They have a few house brands like Balea and Alverde with everything from shower gels to skin care, sunscreens and make up. Their formulations are always modern and top notch. The biggest surprise this year is an unassuming cream called Balea - Beauty Expert - Tages Creme (3% Peptide + 1% Ectoin). It's wonderful, like the best of K beauty. Other ingredients - glycerin, panthenol, squalane...

I did have to look that up, but I’d say it looks nice overall; another option in the centella asiatica range plus vegan cholesterol. The ampoule looks most intriguing to me as they added LHA (one of those super gentle exfoliants; that one is considered an alternative to BHA vs AHA). Gentle and exfoliating is a tough combo, but they might have pulled it off there!

@@AliceintheRabbitHole I'm in a skincare enthusiast forum and the members here worship cosmeceutical brands (Dermaquest, Medik8,...) and they rarely use any K-beauty for repairing/restoring the skin barrier. But there are a few K-beauty items that they often praise for the soothing/repairing property, which are the Manyo bifida ampoule/toner, this cicaterol ampoule, and the Fation nosca9 trouble ampoule. I just bought a set of 1+1 cicaterol ampoule plus refill. Will update you on the result of using it with retinol 0.3.

Never liked the BoJ sunscreen... I feel like it was already old news when it became viral? It felt heavy and oily. Cosrx essence was what saved my sensitive skin in my early 20s, tried coming back to it few years later and didn't like it... Maybe it's just better for younger skin? I've been ussing the Booster Pro for few days in the morning, but only the booster mode (I'm testing VT reedle shot in night routine, so I don't want other modes to interfere with results) and the difference in hydration is HUGE. Skin feels way better and looks better, can't wait to use different modes too.

Dear Lovely Alice. After a disastrous 1st attempt at ordering the medicube Pro through yesstyle (it was clearly lost in transit, yesstyle did not accept this, I asked PayPal to step in, yesstyle refused to help until I asked PayPal to step out, PayPal said don't worry we'll handle it, refund arrived yesterday - phew! No more yesstyle for me) I've now reordered through Stylevana and it's on it's way, 😮I'm a little nervous at how much to use it. It says you can use the ems twice a day everyday where as before it was max 4 times a week! What's your take on this? I'm pretty sure I'll only be able to do once a day max anyway but would love your thoughts. Also, I've downloaded the app ready as I'll probably only use each mode with red light to get the most studied light therapy. Will I be missing out if I only chose red? Always grateful for your content ❤

  • @AliceintheRabbitHole

Nah, stick with red light IMHO. That is indeed the most studied! Yeah, personally I haven’t upped my usage of EMS. It’s a bit perplexing that they say that. But for me, the booster really is a booster first, everything else second haha (that booster mode really is so, so, SO good imo) So sorry to hear that happened with YesStyle! It has been a bit jarring for me as well to experience the slow refunds with international retailers. PayPal doesn’t tolerate it tho, whew.
