    I’m interested in that urban decay foundation! Especially for summer since it’s waterproof. Still loving the about face but it’s been so hot this summer so far and I’m so shiny!!

    First time watching your video. Can you make your video brighter next time? It looks very dark on my screen compare to others I watch. And thank you for the reviews. Very helpful! PS: I love the way you explain the products and even show how you use it. :)

    Looking forward to the lash review. My question/issue falls in the double cleanse. I feel like the oil in the first cleanse breaks down the glue so much faster and they don’t last nearly as long as they do for others who are not skin care enthusiasts (and have never heard of double cleansing).

    It's so interesting the differences in Western and Eastern makeup both in aesthetics and in promotion! A lot of Eastern brands don't want to cater to Western audiences bc they don't want to alienate their Eastern clients. There's this whole mentality of separation between East vs West. Gifting really expensive items is actually the norm too. One of the top singers in Korea is the face of Dior and was gifted thousands of dollars in bags. She, unlike Mikaela gave those bags away to fans so maybe that's why she's praised instead.

    I have combination skin with rosacea and when I moved to London due to the hard water my skin got even more sensitized. Got the soybean cream from OY and it was godsent! It makes your skin feel deeply hydrated, doesn't feel heavy or too watery, it doesn't just sit on the skin! Although I use it mostly at night I have been able to use it in the day effortlessly when I dry my hair to protect me from the heat or when my skin has been going through stuff and I just put a light serum undernearth and it doesn't feel heavy. If you skin has been compromised I would really suggest to give it a go.

    Love the K-makeup on you vs. Urban Decay. Looks like the Urban Decay or the placement of the blush is weighing your face down a bit? Also, can you do a video when you’re having a bad skin day? Because you have the most amazing skin I’ve seen on a beauty/ skin/makeup channel. Please share what you do to keep your skin so radiant. 💖

    Thanks for this! I personally like a mix of western and Asian makeup. I have tanned skin (Fitzpatrick IV probably) so k beauty foundation ranges aren’t really an option for me, with their 3 shades of white. I’ve tried the Tirtir cushion because I was dying to finally try a cushion but I still prefer the finish of my Nars Light Reflecting. Like you I’m hoping the success of releasing a cushion in a larger shade range prompts other companies to release a wider range too! I’d love to try Jung Saem Mool or Hera or IOPE someday. I’m currently obsessed with blush and oh my gosh Asian Beauty just comes through with their reasonably priced blushes (the Saem powder blush is crazy cheap) and lots of colour options I cannot bring myself to buy western overpriced ones anymore. Same with lip products- I adore the colours and feel of Amuse Jel Fit tint, 3CE has some amazing lip products and my lip collection has grown an obscene amount since discovering k beauty lip tints 😂 Currently waiting on Haus Labs foundation and House of Hur blush to be delivered. See? East and West combined.

    Could one not just swap out the toner with an essence for greater results? Making the toner the redundant one? 🤔

  • @user-eg4ie5ti9q
    @user-eg4ie5ti9qКүн бұрын

    I'm new to skincare and while trying to put together a routine that makes sense, I'm absolutely catching myself sneeking in some products that are - well - redundant... I'm trying to be super minimalistic so: clean (foam), hydrate (toner), treat (serum), protect (sunscreen AM/moisturizer PM). But the Dr Ceuracle or the Mixsoon essences are good examples for products I kinda wanna fit somewhere so I come up with some new steps just to fit them in, something like "hydrating/moisturizing balance". It's just basically my FOMO!

    Oh my gosh that's my go to sunscreen! I love that sunscreen. I've tried so many kbeauty sumscreens and that's been the only one that doesn't burn my skin. I don't wear a full face and the only thing I wear is lip stick. It was still a fun watch and I love your style!

    Love comparison videos, and this was so much fun!! Thank you for your hard work. Would love a comparison on different cushion foundations, colors, coverage, finish on the skin and wear time. It would be so helpful as my rosacea and melasma need high coverage and my dry skin hates it (ugh!!😜) Your videos and personality always make me smile😊 Hope Roxy is doing well🐾🐾🐾🐾 Hope all is well, many blessings!!💖💖💖

    Hi Alice. I am used to Asian makeup as my skin color is fair and colors tend to show up more. Still prefer J beauty mascara and eyeliner for waterproof effect. I may try out the Korean cushion after using up my old one. 😊

    I like Japanese makeup as it shows up on my skin and they actually have my shades, I use a lot of J-Beauty brands like canmake, kate, cezanne and some high end ones like shiseido and Kose, but I hate Korean makeup because they just don't cater for my light med skin... I always buy tons of makeup in Japan. The tir tir foundation is a turning point, but everything from the blushes and eyeshadows just are not pigmented and hardly show up. K Beauty only does lip products good imo, but they fail in diversity when it comes to everything else. Overall, I much prefer western high end makeup and Japanese drugstore and high end makeup, not yet found anything from K-Beauty that works for my skin tone....

  • @AliceintheRabbitHole
    @AliceintheRabbitHoleКүн бұрын

    Yep I feel that the J-Beauty I’ve tried has more pigment as well. I really like Millifee’s eyeshadows (up to three palettes now, though the price has also jumped a lot, bah!) and Canmake has some pigmented and absolutely lovely blushes. I want to try more from Kate and Cezanne at some point!

    I haven’t been willing to try J Beauty or C Beauty because of what I’ve been told about animal testing in both countries. Do you have any pertinent info on the subject? I trust your research more than anyone else on YT.

  • @AliceintheRabbitHole
    @AliceintheRabbitHoleКүн бұрын

    I included some links on this in my c-beauty video, but long story short: rather than safety testing, most brands use ingredients that were tested decades and decades ago. And it’s something I can personally tell you as someone who works in research: very few makeup brands are safety testing products at all anymore. It’s very expensive (even animal testing, yes) so…brands just don’t do it. I feel like this might sound alarming but it’s the same in the US. The research we do see isn’t the safety profile testing, but rather customer satisfaction surveys (ie those “91% of customers saw longer lashes with this mascara!”) - which is the least expensive form of “research” Hopefully this helps!

    This video was so interesting, I'd be totally interested in seeing you discuss other categories like contour, mascara, and highlighter. Asian makeup for me has been an absolute hit every time. I'm that type of pale that really struggles to find a foundation in my shade (shout out to haus labs who actually did it) but with korean cushions, I can find my shade in more finishes. I love that everything is so pale-friendly, I even found a bronzer and contour that doesn't look like mud on me, but I do wish they would expand their market. I completely agree that the next brand to extend their shade range is in for some serious money

    Related; I’ve been eyeing the novo copper peptide hand cream (how is it $5 🤯) Otherwise, tbh I mostly just use the pyunkang yul intensive ceramide lotion that I called my favorite body cream (in a short here). It’s convenient and works great, no added scent!

    It’s never too late! I’m 61 and I love make up. We have to be careful with how we apply it, though. Maybe you would want to start with a tinted moisturizer and a shear blush balm or liquid, and one of those fabulous beauty melting balms for the lips. I had a recommend nature Republic, the color coconut will always be in my purse as long as they make it
