At 45 you saved my life with this wisdom. It’s been 37 days since I broke a very toxic sou-tie after 22 years of hell on Earth. A light came on the first day I heard you, and that was it. This is the very first time in my life I have not been abused and used, and able to see clearly who I really am as a queen. 🙏🏽🙌🏽

My daughter is 7 and unfortunately I can see the affects of my husband’s emotional absence pretty much all of her life playing out in her behavior now. I have filed a divorce but unfortunately with the current pandemic we haven’t had our day in court yet (courts closed here) so we are stuck in the house with a man that treats us like we are invisible. At 7, she truly doesn’t understand why she is not the center of his universe. He doesn’t love himself! That’s what my head screams! But to her I just tell her Jesus loves her and he will be her daddy. At 7 of course it doesn’t resonate! Lord help me and my baby especially my baby during this time, as I use the word and daily encouragement and affirmations to tell her who she is IN GOD. Lord help us 🙏🏽

Ibwas raised without my Father and he was outside the home. I cant imagine whatvits like if hes there and you daughter doesnt understand why he isnt loving her. Continue to set the standard of Christ's love for your daughter. Dont try to be the "Father" and allow God to fill that role. Not even a biological "Father" can fully fill a daughters heart to the Lords intent unless instructed or being led by God. Its hard, but God knows how to love and reveal yourself to your daughter. Continue reading the word of God, be that example of Christ and trust God to fill the gaps. ❤ God healed me, allowed me to love my father despite abandonment since childhood and its all because of Christs love in my life from a young age. Praying for you🙏🏾

Some advice as someone who grew up as your daughter. Ensure she has positive male role models in her life. Coaches, church leaders, camp counsellors in your community. Don’t have to leave her alone with men you don’t know obviously - I’m speaking in soccer matches if she has a positive make coach who encourages her and her team. That’s been impactful for me. Also male therapists. Kids help phone is a free option. Encourage her to share her feelings. Validation isn’t attention seeking in a bad way we all need it for affirmation of our reality, for certainty in ourselves. You’re clearly an invested mommy she’s blessed - she needs a mans influence so in a positive SAFE community I hope you can give her that. Best of luck mom remember to love her, be warm, physically affectionate and affirming. Don’t be too alpha and distant afraid of being close and her projecting anger on you. Set verbal boundaries, and be emotionally physically affectionately available for her. Physical touch and discipline helps. Don’t be guilted. Take care of yourself mom. Don’t rage at her. She needs a soft place and discipline. Best of luck, will pray for you 🥺❤️

And obvi church, check out elevation youth church and Steven furtive online. She will have confidence from you, however if she’s not being treated well by the man in her life right now show her the gospel so she knows the VALUE she has as a daughter of christ. I grew up confident in my physical abilities and physical beauty however even with high confidence and self esteem, not having a dad gave me a scarcity mindset. Without low self esteem I still stayed in bad relationships out of fear I asked for too much thus would always be alone. Being in environment of god, I’ve learned my VALUE is separate from my confidence and how much I can tolerate without taking personally. God says I’m his daughter and deserve to be protected. I’ve lesrned even alone, I can know my value. Meditation and a deep persistent relationship with god role modeled by you so she can have that for herself - that’s a huge gift. Will help her mourn and understand life people earthly things can fail however god will never and that’s where our faith and know loved as his child. 👸🏾☺️💕

You know exactly what your daughter is sensing! Remind her daily who her true Father is. She may not understand yet but she will someday. Don't put her father down in front of her especially. Have a gentle talk with her that our society has lost it's way and her life choices will shape her future. Remind her of her inner wisdom. Remind her to rely on God's guidance and how to interpret life's sign posts from The Word/Bible ❤️💐👍

Pastor Blake I am a middle aged woman who has been successful in life with everything but love. I'm one of those PhD women...lol.. love is the one thing I have only ever cared about. I have been in toxic and narcissistic relationships all my life. I have done a lot of work but I find myself in this position of letting God do for me but I find myself depressed and unable to shake it. Dating is so hard. Men either want something non committal and/or sexual. Listening to Gods word thru you has literally saved me from myself. I am breaking soul ties and valuing myself but it's hard. It's been 17 years since my divorce and it's been a battle. I feel like my time will never come. Thank you for your words that will help me when this battle in my heart.

This message is VERY much needed these days! I knew my father and even had a step father but both were emotionally unavailable. I’ve learned a lot through my walk with God, but society tries to make people doubt their worth every single day! The Bible literally says “know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” It is best to protect your body, your peace, and your walk w/ God! The selfish manipulation is so real in the real world.

Pastor Blake I love you so very much. Please keep preaching the truth. I was trapped for almost three decades and the church kept teaching that unless he was beating me consistently I need to pray. Not only was I abused physically and sexually but most of the relationship I was abused emotionally. I was so scared to leave and wanted to please God. No one was teaching this. Not just that but I became abusive also so I left and then was discarded and left bankrupt and everything I loved kids, dog, household items taken. I kept saying God is going to vindicate me and I forgive. Pray for me.

Pastor Blake I am married to a Covert Narcissist for 27 years and we have been separated for two years. I would encourage him to take our daughter out on father dates etc but he was emotionally unavailable. After the discard my teenage children wanted to remain with him because he has no boundaries and I was the main disciplinarian. Long story short he allowed my daughter to have her boyfriend stay the night and now she is pregnant as a teenager. He actually undermined every Christian principle I taught. I purchased your book the Father Daughter Talk and share your videos in hope she will one day wake up. Thanks for your message.

I heard my dad say that line. "Women raise girls and men raise boys." I've resented my dad for years because of this ignorant tradition. He taught my brother how to take care of himself, and left me to an abusive, textbook narcissist. Not only would he not protect me when I told him how my mother was treating me, he would make excuses for her. Looking back he just didn't want the responsibility. He felt he didn't know what to do with a girl and he had no desire to figure it out. It was easier to just let my mom handle it. Yet, he had expectations that I made him proud. I wrote him a letter once about desiring a deeper relationship and how I did not like how he changed once I hit puberty and how he didn't actually talk to me anymore. I noticed that he was mad at me for days afterwards. He never addressed it though. Right after he died, my Narcissist Mother told me that she found a letter that he had written me. After she had given it to me, she gave me the disclaimer that I may not like it and cry. I saw that it was folded with the letter that I had given him over ten years earlier. It was his response. In the letter, he told me that he had never been proud of me. Not only had my mother tried to hurt me by giving me something so horrible right after my father's death, but I couldn't figure out why he was so mad about me asking him for a deeper relationship. I did mention that I was tired of the typical surface father-daughter relationship that we were experiencing at the time, but nothing insulting. In fact, whenever I'd feel the need to write an important letter, I'd always ask God to give me the right words to get my point across without offending, so I'd stick to expressing my feelings, and not accusing nor attacking. My father and many men that I've observed as fathers, or heard about through their daughters (fam and friends), really failed their girls out of non-interest, non-action, and saddest of all, laziness. I'm not saying that their daughters weren't important to them, just not important enough to inspire anything that may require for them to exert any real thinking or effort. Their lifetime of wisdom and not the slightest desire to actually pass any down, yet expecting a well-rounded, well-adjusted, street-smart daughter when all is said and done.

I'm just curious, why we perpetuate and learn and practice this "game" that men and women play, even though it's been historically destructive and continues to be? I'm wondering why men aren't taught integrity and responsibility more often, but women are or aren't taught how to deal with a lack of integrity from the opposite sex? I'm curious why there are more times than not, something a woman needs to do, to change, to fortify, but rarely are men sanctioned to have to do anything but enjoy themselves? I wonder why things like birth control are made for women and not men, the seed spreaders? I've wondered why it seems like dad's and brother's don't teach their daughters and sisters, but that question is answered in the fact that a lot of them were just like the men we're taught to avoid. They'd rather not endure potential disappointment.

@Marsh E Thank you very much for your comment. I agree, a relationship with and identity in Christ does help, a lot. It is that very popular saying however, that "a man will only do what a woman allows him to" that hits a wall. I used to hold that belief, until I realized that people in general tend to do what they want to do. It's unreasonable for women to carry the responsibility of both her character's develop and the men she encounters or dates. This turns a woman into more of a man's mother. But, each person and relationship is different. There will be personal boundaries set, but a lot of basic things shouldn't have to be taught to a man seeking a relationship with a woman and vice versa. If a man mistreated a woman for example maybe with physical violence...the first time was probably not welcomed or allowed, but it happened. Yes, a woman may stop or flee a situation afterwards, but the initial strike was something that he chose to do. (Yes, women can mistreat men too). My point is that each person's character can be reinforced by those we encounter, not nessecarily built from it. He are each still responsible for our own choices. Men and women learning how to love respect one other, outside of any games because we are people deserving of respect - not because we've "earned" the right to be respected.
