I got the complete set of those singles but they weren't in a box, but played brilliantly. Still have them. Haven't played any of them in years.. Liking the Blue Sgt Pepper jacket, it suits you, you should grow the moustache to go with it. Many thanks for this vid Dave, really enjoyed it. Strawberry Fields Forever is my favourite Beatles song and for me the greatest pop single of all time.

I didn't start collecting Beatles singles until last year. I'd love to get this box set! Oh, and your Sgt. Pepper uniform looks fab!

These came out in 1976 the year I discovered The Beatles so it was handy for me as I could get all the non-album b-sides. Real shame they didnt make more of an effort with the covers though. But despite that this set means a lot to me for the reason I just mentioned . I've got the green pepper suit same as your blue one with the tassel. Suits you sir ! Good work as usual Dave.

I bought this (the later one with the Sgt Pepper/A Day in the Life single) when it was first released. The green insert incorrectly gives George Harrison's birthday as February 25th 1942 (should be 1943). Not a heinous crime but rather clumsy - I mean there are only four to get right. 😃With no information highway in those day I thought that was his birthdate for quite a few years, and false Beatles information leaves a scar. 😀🤭

Nice to see the box set. Where were those 45s copied from? I see another comment talking about the sound quality not being the same as the originals?

I once had the 1976 box set- but when I compared it to the sound of the original singles (Especially `Please Please Me`) I swapped them. For myself, the sound quality is `poor` compared to the original pressings - very poor indeed! . Anyhow, the next Beatles E.P UK chart positions is `THE BEATLES HITS` E.P. In the `NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS` Top 30 singles chart `BEATLES HITS` E.P made Joint No 17 after a total (In four runs) of Eight weeks in the `New Musical Express` chart. In the `MELODY MAKER` Top 50 singles chart `BEATLES HITS` E.P made it to No 14 after Nineteen weeks in the `Melody Maker` chart. In the `DISC WEEKLY` Top 30, `BEATLES HITS` E.P made it to No 16 for two weeks after Thirteen weeks in the chart (In two runs). In the `POP WEEKLY` Top 30 `BEATLES HITS` E.P made it to no 22 after Six weeks in the `Pop Weekly` chart. In the `BBC/PICK OF THE POPS` Top 30, `BEATLES HITS` Made it to no 17 for two weeks after Eleven weeks in the chart. In the `RECORD RETAILER` Top 10 E. P Chart; `BEATLES HITS` Made No 1 For THREE Weeks in November 1963. Re this video - DAVE! `PLEASE PLEASE ME` Made No 1 for Two Weeks in the `NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS` `MELODY MAKER` `DISC WEEKLY` `POP WEEKLY` and Three weeks No 1 on the `BBC/PICK OF THE POPS` Chart. It was only No 2 on one chart, that by `RECORD RETAILER` and that chart `WAS NOT!` `WAS NOT!!` `WAS NOT!!! Official in any way whatsoever back in early 1963. Re `STRAWBERRY FIELDS/PENNY LANE` Made No 1 for THREE weeks on the `MELODY MAKER` chart. All this data, I have already posted on your earlier videos Dave. Its there to help you. Next video, all UK chart placings for the `BEATLES No 1` E.P.
