Today I wear Miss dior EDP 2017 (previous version, I have a version 2021 too, and it’s very pretty too) I want to buy Las sables roses from LV ( the biggest bottle) Same thing - I used 5 samples of LV fragrance and I’m still thinking “do I really need it?”😂😅 bc I have so many fragrances and I don’t use most of them…

Specifically today, this cheap Karl Lagerfeld EDC I use before and after the gym. Idk if that’s weird but it’s very sporty and fairly weak so I feel like it’s a good one to just lift me before and after a work out

I love this video. I got 6 LV testers and out of the 5 I've tried, I only like 2 lol 😆. But I'm 100% leaning towards travel size too because it takes me a long time to go through Perfume. Especially when you have more then 1. Heures d'absence will be my first purchase though for the perfume!

Great video Caitlin, the LV fragrances have been a weak spot of mine. I have bought 4 (100ml) bottles this year. L'immensite is my favourite. However I do like getting the samples from the stores, I managed to swag some samples from LV Heathrow & Cannes when I was there last month. I find the sample size ideal for topping up throughout the day.

@@Kay-nq7pi I own that, Ombre Nomade, and the new Fleur du Desert and they are perfectly unisex. I’d say the most feminine are Les Sables Rose and Flier du Desert. You should ask for a sample of it to try, I really love mine!

Your description of Sun Song is exactly same feeling I have, love it. Then I figured out that smells like a strong version of baby perfume, I'm colombian and we use baby perfume (haha), it is very like a luxury version of many Eau de Toilette from the 90s. Love your video.

13:22 omg yes! I was at a grocery store and this totally random eldery woman walked past me and I couldn't say what that smell was, but I knew that I knew the scent, and it brought a warm emotion to me. It was very bizarre but she reminded of a lost memory that I have had.

Yes, yes, yes! When I saw that this is a fragrance review video my heart almost skipped a beat as fragrances (and music) are my passion. When it comes to Louis Vuitton I only own one from the men's line, Sur La Route, which is a wonderful citrusy fragrance that could well be a unisex fragrance for sure. Well, fragrances and smells aren’t gendered after all, so I don’t limit myself to fragrances marketed towards men. I really love how you paint the picture of these fragrances and what they make you feel. That’s what it’s all about, as well as the memories we associate with fragrances. If I travel I will only wear one fragrance as this will work as an olfactory time capsule: one spray and I’m back in Paris, Venice, Rome etc. Thanks so much for this video and greetings from Austria!

@@pretty4229 to me it’s like a more interesting, powdery slightly cacao sweet combination of delina exclusif and coco mademoiselle. It smells a little basic on paper but on my skin it turns into a dream!

I’m as much an LV perfume addict as you are and we seem to have the same scent preferences! I’m head over heels with layering Attrape Reves with Nuit de Feu. Just one spritz each on skin…. Divine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

One of my favourite perfumes is called Laila. It’s a Norwegian perfume that I buy when I visit the Norway pavilion at Epcot Centre at Disney World. I’ve been wearing it a lot lately as it reminds me of our family vacations.🥰

Coer Battant is my FAVE/everyday. I also love Sun Song, but I agree it's familiar in a way. My wife wears After Swim which is unisex, but it's so so so so good. I have Rose De Vents too, and I love it but it's a touch heavy for me.

Wow, this video is relly mind blowing to me, it's truly fascinating how different people can sense and interpret smells, haha! Just like you, I purchased Attrapè-Rêves as my first ever LV perfume and Cæur Battant as my next one. But to me the Attrapè-Rêves is definitely more of a light and airy "day to day"-kinda smell which I highly prefer during the warmer months of the year, because of the very obvious flowery notes. And the Cæur Battant is more of a sexy date night perfume, which I also tend to use more during the cooler months of the year as I think it's a "heavier" scent. So although our LV perfume purchase-history and preferences is quite identical, our experience of the scents is completely opposite of eachothers, haha :D I also loooove the LV perfumes. In addition to Attrapè and Cæur I've also got the Etoile Filante, and I'm going to purchase Contre Moi very soon. Contre Moi was a scent that definitely had to grow on me, it wasn't love at first sniff like the other 3 I have. But now after I've emptied a sample bottle of it, I'm completely obsessed!

Thank you for the video - really need to look into Heures d'Absence and Étoile Filante 😍 And I think it's funny how you described Attrape-Rêves and Coeur Battant - for me it's actually the other way around :D In my opinion, Coeur Battant is such a heavy, strong and unique scent that I find it hard to pull it of as an every day parfume whereas Attrape-Rêves is my every day choice. That's just another example of how different people categorize perfumes differently 😊

Same for me. Court battant comes out as a high octane rose floral fruit but I have to say settles down beautifully after 1 hour for me. where attrape-reves does fruit floral leather and love it’s more gentle side. AR was my first full bottle ; that being said, I love heures d’absence and receive massive compliments on my skin. Having to work closely with people this one is a dead ringer with citrus cocoa leather musk. Must be the patchouli

If you have not smelt ombré nomade I cannot recommend enough! I get compliments every time I wear it! Even though it is a little pricier than the standard LV perfumes ($625) it is by far the most beautiful and unique scents LV has in my opinion!

Clicked on the video because I like LV frags and she is cute. Nice personality to match.

Interesting how a person's body chemistry affects how a fragrance smells on their skin. I think several LV fragrances are amazing but if I try to wear them the smell changes and it is not nice. Cactus Garden is the only LV scent I can use. It happens with other brands too - my late mother wore Estee Lauder Youth Dew and smelled wonderful but on me it went wonky and was just terrible. I'm very into Aerin Lauder's fragrances right now - maybe not "luxury" or exclusive but every one I've tried is gorgeous.

Evidently the notes in your "least favorite" sounds like something I'd be into ^^

I have both attrape and heures. Attract reves is my signature!😍 it smells amazing. I get SO many compliments

Thank you so much for this video, everyone (in KZread land) seems to own these and I didn’t know if I want them for FOMO reasons or because I actually want to try it. I’m travelling to New York next month and I’m very keen to try the samples since I don’t really have a proper LV store anywhere near me. I got a Tom Ford Perfume last year which I love but I know now I probably would of went for the more Tobaccoish fragrance instead of the “safe” option (Oud Wood) if I actually smelled them.

One thing that helps me pick a scent long-distance is to look at the breakdown of notes in the fragrance - there is one website that is very helpful but, rats, can't provide a link. I know that if some components are in the top or middle notes it won't work for me because they don't interact well with my body. chemistry.

Oh and I also wanted to add: it is a fact that many memories have a smell, and almost every smell has a memory hidden inside. The olfactory neurons are buried very close to the brain's memory bank 💚 (I am not a scientist but I just read a great book about how dogs' noses are extraordinary.)

Finally!!!! A famous YT’ber who shares my deep ♥️ for LV fragrance!!! I made 3-4 YT videos on LV fragrances before and I have since took them down because I felt so “stupid”??? How does one describe scent to someone on the other side of the screen??? LOL and yes, French! Do you want to see them??? LOL I can activate them for you! We have the same “taste” in LV scents. I do do want to challenge you a bit to try on Dans La Peau, (at least try the samples, it took a few days of trying before it dawned on me that I loved it) it’s the same beautiful jasmine but NOT floral and mixed with the scent of LV vachetta leather! Whoa! DIES!!! Please let me know if you’d like to see those videos, I’ll activate them for a short time and shut it down again. 😂🥰🥰♥️♥️🥰 Love your logic about travel size, totally agree!

I’m hooked on the LV fragrances. Question for you, do you guys not have the 4 little travel vials without buying the sprayer each time? Here in the US we can purchase 4 little travel tubes for $110. We only have to buy the little travel atomizer once. It will save you money if you just get the refills.

This question may have been asked, but can you refill a 7.5ml vial once you use it up? or do you just have to throw it away. I have plenty 100ml bottles, so i'd like to get some travel vials and refill them using my 100ml bottles

Caitlin, I would love to know your opinion on the Hermes perfumes, which IMO are THE BOMB ! Have you ever sampled Un Jardin sur La Lagune ? and Un Jardin sur le Toît ? Absolute divine fragrances which also happen to be unisex so not too girly either.

I love mine, too -- but my only complaint is that they do not last long after application. For EDP, why does it fade away so fast? Example, I put some on to go to lunch today 4 hours ago... now when I smell my arm, I cannot smell it at all anymore.

I fell in love with Symphony. Until I saw the price. 😂 It does have great performance though. My gf wears Etoile Filante and it’s really nice on her.

Sun Song smells like Angel’s Breath cologne (not sure if you have it there in AU). Just sad that LV isn’t selling Sun Song anymore :(

Question for anyone! Can you purchase the atomizer separately or does anyone have any hacks? I bought the refills from LV website and didn’t realize i only purchased the refills no sprayer! 🥺😂 and they don’t sell the sprayer separate like other perfume houses! I’m wondering if i have to go into the store or there is somewhere online where I can purchase a similar sprayer and of course they have a unique sprayer it’s not like any other. Help! Please! Lol.

My favs from LV: Apogee, Pacific Chill, Le Jour Se Leve, and Heures.. they smell fresh and bright. these are the ones are not for sexy date nights

These beautiful words (smells of optimism, rainbow) are just "FIGURE OF SPEECH" which implies they are bright and fresh. That is how perfumers draws their scent conception.

Just btw for everyone the full sized bottles are refillable in stores

Can you just buy the refills without the atomizer and still works without it?

Rose des Vents is my favorite perfume of all time. And I love perfume and am an avid user of Chanel, Hermes, Dior, Tom Ford and Byredo and other designer perfumes. I agree that LV perfumes have something special that the others don’t have. There’s just something about the LV RDV that I can’t get enough of.

@@user-gg2qb5rg8q it fits me; smell beautiful like roses however I highly recommend you to try in your body and let it mix for a couple of minutes before you apply more😉

I’m really confused why you would go for the travel size when you lose so much fragrance

@@user-gg2qb5rg8q First i got Attrape Reve and then I went back for Coeur battant 🤣 So heres the thing, to me, attrape reve us a delicious comforting scent, and coeur battant is that aquatic floral I need in summer. Xx

I have 3 lv perfumes 🙊 I don't regret anything 😆 2 100ml and 1 travel size

💯 !!! At first I was reluctant to give them a try but they are my favorite perfume. (Tiffany & Co is in second) The unique combinations & long lasting scent sets their fragrances apart from others. Fantastic collection.

Caitlin honey, you're as bad as I am at describing fragrances! 💨😆 I'm like 'it's like when you're having cocktails under one of those wotchamacallit plants on a hot summer's night' 🤣 I'm predisposed to the really heavy fragrances, so my faves are Matiere Noire and Ombre Nomade. I will say this for LV fragrances: they last SO WELL! 🤩
