    Yes, the tank bag is magnetic, unfortunately it does not work on the KTM 390 tanks (plastic maybe?) so what I ended up doing was ordering some 3M strong magnets to stick on the tank and then the bag on top what I like about it is it’s quick to release when you need to fuel up

    Thanks for the review! You hit a deer on your bike? Wow, that’s a first. I’ve had mine for over a year now. Definitely bar risers. And if you’re going off road, fuelx lite is also a game changer 👍. Good luck with the channel!

    Yes I’ve installed a fuel X lite since this video also works great. Yes bar risers are a must

    Hello Canada. You have picked a great bike. Congratulations. No, you don't need a GS. Stick with this. ;) The Ero seat has bad reviews from ... everyone. It is apparently almost identical to the stock seat. The KTM High seat is on back order ... over six to nine months at least. Where did you get the resonator replacement pipe? There have been some folks who SWEAR you can re-route the cable or move the clutch inward just a bit with risers. I own a Himalayan too, but haven't gotten to try the switch yet. Great video! I'll leave you to ride. If you're in Canada, you know it's only a few months 'til winter! ;) S

    Yeah, I recently had a guy trying to trade me out of this 390 into his older 1200 GS. But honestly after riding the lighter 390 bike I don’t think I can give it up it does everything reasonably well in my opinion and I’ve ridden dirt bikes for years. Yeah, my only complaint is the handlebars sit too low for myself. Ha ha yeah you got that right if we get a good five months riding that’s decent by the time the snow melts and then appears again I actually ordered the resonator delete pipe on eBay , I did the resonator delete right away because I hated the look of the thing but it was a good deal. I think it was 35 or $40 and relatively easy to install. Thanks for the comment. Enjoy your Himalayan do you have a KTM 390 as well then or just the Himalayan?

    @@ExploreSide Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that. I bought the Himi for my wife and a few months later I got a '20 390. Man, I love it. My Harley has seen less and less of the road since I got the 390. Yeah, it's fast, good looking, enough bells and whistles and light, so flippin' light. When I get on my ElectraGlide it's like ... ugh, what a barge! For long trips, I still love my Harley, but almost everything else??? the KTM. thanks, S

    Nice ride! Congrats on the new bike! How are those pegs holding up? I've been on the fence about replacing the stock set, but kind of want to avoid the $200+ replacements.

    Hey, yeah, I bought the nice CNC foot pegs so far they have been fantastic way more surface area, and I do stand up a little bit and they’ve held up really well so far

    No, it will not void warranty from what I’ve been told by my local dealer, so long as you leave, the header pipe in which has two Catalytic converter’s in it it will not void warranty

    Great video! Question, did you actually try a Honda CB 500 X? The reason I ask is that I am seriously considering trading in my 2021 CB 500 X for a KTM 390 adventure and would like your input on the differences. Cheers from Ontario

    Picking one up in a week or so! 1. Do those nicecnc foot pegs remove the angle from the stock foot pegs? It looks like they are still angled unlike the BlackDog Cycle Works pegs. 2. What support stand adapters do you have mounted on the rear swing arm?

  • @ExploreSide

    @ExploreSide

    Жыл бұрын

    No, the nice CNC foot pegs do not correct the angle, personally for me, I actually like the angle as it helps get my foot under the shifter without adjusting the shifter, moving the shifter up to high for me, makes me hit the side case. So far I’ve been impressed with a nice CNC stuff they have held up well

    Just some support stand adaptors I bought on eBay that actually have 390 adventure engraved in them. They were relatively cheap.

    Am wondering what they're like on sand.... I'm after a bike to do a "lap" of Australia and do a lot of dirt and hopefully the Simpson Desert which has a tonne of sand dunes to cross.....

    @@martyn_g Yeah I realised doing the Simpson on one of these would be overly ambitious....... it'd still be probably good for 99.5% of other tracks though..... Flinders Ranges and Holland Track as example.

    Does the nicecnc foot pegs flatten it out any

  • @ExploreSide

    @ExploreSide

    No, it doesn’t change the angle. I personally like the stock angle as my foot fits under the shifter easier without having to move the shifter up. I believe black dog makes an angled one.

    How is it on long road trips @70mph? Does it feel topped out or do you still have enough power to feel comfortable passing? Edit I have a gen2 KLR it’s my 1st bike. Put 10k on it.

  • @ExploreSide

    @ExploreSide

    Жыл бұрын

    Actually, it’s surprisingly good it has a six speed gearbox so I can easily do 70 mph in fifth gear because it’ll rev out to 10 K RPM,otherwise it’ll cruise nicely at 70 mph in sixth year no problem but you do have to downshift a fifth to pass

  • @ExploreSide

    @@ExploreSide thanks for the feedback. 💪🏻 I love my KLR but my only complaint is no 6th gear and the sluggish passing if riding hwy speeds.
