For any students reading this, functional groups and the esoteric bits of IUPAC nomenclature are the hardest parts. I mixed up ketones and esters, somehow, and got the (hexane with an isopropyl group out of carbon 3) wrong. My brain will still never get that last one right, even after my prof sat me down after my lowest exam score to explain why you start at the isopropyl group rather than the base chain yet again 😂. Ochem is so worth the effort you put in!

TBH, when I was a student, the only way I was able to learn them was with flashcards. Quizzing myself all the time. Thanks for always being so supportive!

@@rojaslab Huge second to flashcards! I demolished the local supply of note cards when I took ochem to make flashcards cuz I didn't like the lines. I still flip through the decks I made to this day just for fun! Made them pretty and I still love them so much 🥰 choose heavy card stock so you can shuffle them like playing cards
