REVIEW: Worker Phoenix 2 0 (A Flywheeler Reborn)

Ойын-сауық

Earlier this year we reviewed the Worker Phoenix -- a bulky triple-stage short dart micro flywheeler. It was good for what it was, and despite its quirks, it was an easy blaster to recommend. Then in the fall Worker teased the latest version, with a Swift-style aesthetic, an included stock... and the option to give the blaster a brain.
After getting it in hand, the ergonomics are much improved, the stock is comfortable, and the build quality for an injection-molded blaster is second-to-none. I can't wait to take it out on the field in the new year and run it through its paces!

There are two things, money disregarded, that are preventing me from picking this up, the mags, i have a bunch of straight talons and while the angled ones this needs is not a huge issue i would prefer to be able to use the tachi with it, considering the rate of fire Second is simply waiting for the board to be available for it

It LOOKS very cool! Still, can’t comprehend 6 motors at 150fps…seems so pointless unless you are trying to achieve 250+ fps. It really feels like a way for them to mark up the price to the community, for no other reason but their own gain. They could have easily put in a single stage out of the box that could hit 150fps, and then sell us “upgrades” in terms of extended cages and wheels etc. Because we all know we would change motors first thing. But I digress. Edit: Awesome review Luke, as always! Thank you so much!

Bought 2*2200 3S batteries and alarms from your store for this blaster which I have in grey and orange. Just got the blasters in the mail and put the batteries in and was surprised of the power and ROF. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Bigger battery may have increased performance. I've seen other videos that has the PCB installed. The blaster IMO under performs without select fire. Although not bad I wont be satisfied until I get my hands on the select fire chips. They seem to increase the ROF while controlling the motor performance while shooting....Thanks for the review and it seems you just shipped my extra clips and darts for this gun. Thanks again

From what I can tell, alot of people don't like 3 stage flywheels. Has anyone asked Worker why they are so adamant about the triple stage flywheel setup? From what I can tell, they did it purely for aesthetic purposes. Awesome review and still excited about the dual weild possibilities of the pheonix 2.0.

Very cool Luke! Strange how recently Worker will release a new blaster in a clear shell, then a few months later release what appears to be the “better” version of the first blaster, just look at the Worker Cheetahs, and now the Phenixes. So it’s like Wokrer releases the “teaser” or prototype version of a blaster (like how Ford released the Bronco SUV to get everyone more hyped about the Bronco pickup), just to release what appears to be the original, final version of the blaster that’s better. Anyway, this seems to be a very good SMG style flywheeler, it also looks awesome and well rounded (literally and figuratively).

I just bought one of your hopper extensions for the Perses (TYVM btw), and now I see this - and I am very tempted to get this. Unfortunately, family comes first over hobby and I hope I can still avail of this in a month or so. I wonder if you also plan a mod/replacement for the foregrip as I really wish you could fold that grip thing rather than have it detach or something. When it was initially teased, the foregrip looked like it was foldable. Folding the foregrip and removing the stock would make that look like an OP secondary SMG-type pistol, but that's just me.

If velocity and accuracy are your priorities for a blaster, I would say go with a 3D-printed springer like a TalonClaw or a Lynx and grab a scar barrel. If you prefer something injection-molded, the Worker Swift, Adventure Force Nexus Pro, and Dart Zone Max Stryker are great performing blasters, and can be modded to shoot farther and more accurately.

Mag in Grip is a Dealbreaker I don't have huge hands. putting the mag in grip puts an uncomfortable lower size limit on the grip. I hate the recent trend for blasters to do this. People think its cool because Guns do it? well darts are larger than bullets, its not a good idea for foam blaster practicality. They've got that big chunky mini-foregrip for a trigger guard, stick the magazine through that spot and I'll consider it.

Based on the review, I ordered this. Worker has not shipped it, admits they have not shipped it and offered to cancel rather than ship it. This is terrible customer service. If others experience this, it's important to let people know that Worker is not delivering merchandise reliably. I was not warned about this, I had to track shipping three weeks after the order. In other words, Worker will keep your money and send you nothing unless you monitor every part of the transaction. This is disturbing.

And the mag release is irrelevant the spring they use is too weak you're going to have to use a stronger one and you can just rip it mag release isn't necessary on both sides

Not a fan of flywheels for half darts (prefer higher power for these rounds like on a milsig m79 or a caliburn) but this looks fun to mess around with indoors. I'll probably grab one thanks for the upload
