Born in 1975, the Laureato is Girard-Perregaux’s take on the luxury sports watch, now reshaped into lightweight Grade 5 Titanium.
The design codes are pretty much set in stone from 1972 onwards when the Royal Oak saw the light of day. Girard-Perregaux introduced the Laureato a few years later, also creating a legacy in the process. And this also means, which is often mistaken, that the Laureato predates that other iconic luxury sports watch, the Patek Philippe Nautilus, by a year.
The Laureato has come and gone in many different shapes, sizes, materials and complications. New for 2024 is the Laureato Chronograph in grade 5 Titanium. Called Ti49, both in reference to the material and the fact the Laureato is now 49 years old, it joins the collection and makes an impact.

It's a brilliant package alltogether, really impressive on the wrist. Both in terms of looks, and comfort.
great collection
very nice
for 10K may be.. for almost 20K I'll pass...
I’d argue the integrated sports bracelet style watch was actually designed and birthed by Zenith with the Defy in 1969, and NOT Gerald Genta. It’s annoying when this narrative is constantly perpetuated.
