See my review of the Zero-G Hose. This is a hybrid hose that appeared on the shelves in my area this year. I had a few Pocket Hoses break on me so I decided to spend a little more money and try it out. The results are very good after 10 minutes. I'll keep you posted on how it holds up over time. I'm expecting good results. If you enjoy the video, please give it a Thumbs UP. Thanks for watching!

I bought this hose about 3 months ago and love it. I got tired of buying hoses that stated they wouldn't kink, but that's all they did. I use this hose almost everyday and have had zero issues . It doesn't kink so that's a huge plus in my book. Going to buy another hose for the backyard.

Thank you for a thoughtful and professional review. I really appreciated it. I just purchased this hose about a week ago and used it twice. I noticed a couple things immediately: 1) there was leakage at the valve where I turn the water on (same as regular hose) and 2) my pressure shifted from really good (same as the regular hose) to "less than the regular water hose." So far, the only value I see is that it will not scratch my car if I need to run the hose over the car (but not sure why I would do that but it's possible). The hose moves easily when I move because it is more flexible than regular hose, so this is good. But overall, so far, my old traditional hose appears to offer almost the same benefits (and it's old) and the cost in my case is not justified.

@@randyman8984 The water pressure will drop-off (attenuate) as the length of the hose increases - that's just how the physics of water pressure works. Same with electrical wiring - the voltage will drop as the length of wire increases.

This was submitted by a reviewer on Amazon.... "These are great. One caveat, though. Use "no bind" or " anti seize" lubricant from the auto parts stores on the threads. These fittings are aluminum, and if one connects them to brass, the galvanic action will weld the pieces together....permanently."

Unless there is a leak in the gasket I wouldn't think galvanic corrosion would be an issue. The gasket keeps the dissimilar metals separated where the moisture is present. Dissimilar metald are joined often in home plumbing with the use of galvinac unions.

I bought 8 of these because they are so nice and light weight, and I have a couple acres of young trees to water. Six of the eight have failed within a year. 5-year warranty is great unless you bought yours through Amazon. The shipping to return will cost as much or more than a replacement. And while they may be kink free in the traditional sense, they are prone to behavior that is worse. Mine snarled up in knots frequently. If you use beyond, say, a 25 foot length of hose, these easily get themselves tied into knots somewhere in the middle like string would do because they are so flexible. Then you find yourself trekking back to undo the knots.

  • @MarkThomasBuilder

Thanks for sharing your experience. I was wondering if you can work directly with the manufacturer to get warranty help? It seems crazy to have to spend all that money to ship them back to Amazon. I haven't had the knot issue with this hose. I bought a GoodYear hose that had that problem.

I've had three so far just since April and they all leaked! When they are dragged across cement such as my driveway, then that is where the leak happens. Guess as long as you keep them on the grass, then they are fine, but for dragging all over, they just don't hold up!

As a woman with back and hip issues, I like the ZeroG 50' hose because it is lightweight. I have only used it for a couple of months, so I don't know how durable it will be over the years. The ZeroG does not expand, which is good because the expandable hoses are junk. My concerns are with the aluminum threads on my brass spigot, I wonder if they will "weld" together as warned. I also worry about this hose leaking in future years. You also will not get the water pressure that you get with a regular rubber garden hose. I would not recommend using the shut off valve at the end of the hose, as the built up pressure may burst the hose.

You can purchase a "quick connect" kit from stores like Harbor Freight for around $8.00. Not only will it isolate the aluminum garden hose thread from the spigot (preventing the welding of the metal), but it will allow you to easily attach/remove nozzles or swap-out different attachments to the hose without having to screw-in and unscrew the nozzle or other attachments from the hose.

Costco Carries this Item 100ft at good price. Thought I would try this, I like the concept Light non Kink. It worked well Thought it was a keeper. However after the 1st week it started to leak where it attaches to the sprayer. It has a Thick Rubber Protective Shield at both ends where it attaches and that is where the leak developed. Very Disappointed Took it Back. Thought I would try a 2nd one in case it was a fluke situation. However sorry to say same thing happened in same time frame. To Bad I really like the the concept. However I did take it back as well. Sadly I would NOT Recommend Guess I will wait till next year see what the new Model brings see if can find one that doesn't leak.

Similar to other posts, my first has one has split right at the fitting and another split about two feet from the end after less than one year of use. I always roll it up and keep it out of direct sun after use and it was drained and stored over the winter. I was hoping it would last longer than the expandable hoses that were trash but now it appears they last only slightly longer. I'm disappointed but hopeful someone will make one of these light weight hoses that actually lasts. I am looking for my receipt and hoping they will honor the 5 year warranty.

I love these companies marketing gurus that come up with all the fake fancy names for technology on these hoses. Literally owned a dozen different of these hoses, every one burst

The very first hose I tried, the Pocket Hose, burst within a day or two. This one has a very small leak at the end, but I'm still able to use it for watering deck planters. It's my favorite of all the hoses so far. I agree with you, the branding is interesting to look at.

I recall the instructions saying to store it out of the sun. That's pretty common with all the hybrid hoses.

No, I left mine partially under pressure for 15min while watering a tree plant slowly, when I came back it was bursting with water.

I work at Lowe's. I've been looking for reviews on everything for outdoors, and this is the best review I've found for any item I work with! Are there any issues you do have with it? Has it remained durable? Thanks! :)

I installed and gave it a go, the 50ft weighs around 4-5 pounds, and it really is a great hose. Thanks for the video on it.

    always kinks

  • @docbrock35

Poor quality. Have 5 of these and within a month or two all five leak at the hose end coupling and a few also stated leaking within the middle. And unfortunately, the standard hose end repair kits don’t fit the smaller diameter of these hoses. So now I have hoses that can’t be hooked up to a spray nozzle. Very disappointed in these. Also, don’t know where their claim of never kinking comes from but they kink like crazy. I would steer away from this hose.

This hose has never kinked. The Goodyear hose kinked like crazy. If they make a repair kit, this would be a game changer.

Seems like we are talking about different hoses. Although, your picture is the same as mine. All of mine kink incessantly, leak at the hose end nozzle and reduce the water flow noticeably. Mine are all the 100’ length as we have a 13 acre ranch, half of which is fully lanscaped. It’s important to me that the hose not kink or reduce the water flow too much. This one does both so even with a repair kit I won’t be purchasing again.

Haha, I haven't heard that comment yet. I've had this one for a couple years now and it works well other than slight seepage at one end. It made it a whole 2 years without any issues.
