✅ About jlwii2000:
When I started my channel I did not choose a catchy name because I did not think that I would be a major model railroading video source one day, so I apologize for the strange name. My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James

Kinda glad I went with Scale trains on these. More detail for the same price.

I agree. My only SD45's to date have been the Ahearn RTR based on upgraded Rail Power shells but with prototype details. ScaleTrains is finally offering D&RGW SD45's late this year and hoping they offer the common SP verstion with the L shaped engineer windows. I generally steer clear of anything Broadway for diesels.

The only reason I can come up with to run long nose forward is protection for the crew. Electric motors do not care what direction they run in as you know.

If they have helical cut gears it would make a difference

Broadway offered an SP SD45 with the most RR specific details to-date on an HO SD45. I asked a good friend who writes for one of the major model train magazines about it. He recommended passing on the Broadway SD45 and wait for ScaleTrains to offer it in SP. The only Broadway HO loco's I have are the RSD-15 Utah Rwy because they were the only way to get Utah in plastic for that model.

jl"dubbya"'ii2k... just love what you have done for all of us... reviews that are honest ( which helps everyone, especially youngsters and their next purchase !!), nice clothes, and all of us just waiting to hear from you and your next review !!! my friend, one problem remains, and please take this in a friendly and thankful manner... i just watched your athearn sd59 review and we could not hear you very well as the engines were way too loud !!! big rookie mistake that most of the young bucks do these days.... mistakes like this means you have to buy the first round !!! btw, i purchased many engines and cars based on your word, so please don't be too upset with my review of you !!! sincerely, i started with you from day one ( i am retired now) and you have been great, but even mahomes screws up, rarely as it is !!! keep up the good work, jl"dubbya"ii2k !!!

After all the dust settles, my purchases range from 10 -25 grand a year. That is after anything gets bought/sold. I don't sell much off very often. But I've been blessed with a robust income to handle it.
