The M1070 is a great HET, but it's size requires road clearance and trip permits to operate on public highways.

The beast will be my first real truck, I need that truck.

The battle locks are supposed to be used always. They help support the door when in operation and cab when in operation. PSMagazine just came out with an article about it.

Well it looks like it is equipped with an air horn. Time to find the lanyard or the button if it’s using a solenoid valve. This is one very nice truck!

The fmtv uparmored is fine, but if you get an uparmored Lmtv, the 20k lbs cab is too heavy when unloaded. If you hard brake they tend to roll forward onto the front of the cab, and the early ones the cabs couldn’t lift without crane help.

The alternator looks huge. Is it that 460 amp model?

So if a customer owned a 50cal machine gun you could install it up in the turret ? That’s a badass truck.

58 mph factory 71 mph with gearing change

it looks like it still has the Ether tank. Does the C7 also have a grid heater?

Yes the A1R has the grid heater. The ether tank is automatic based on temperature. The older trucks have a rocker switch. The A1R has a blank spot.

Seems much more quiet than my M1083

That's a rescue bar to open the doors in case of a roll over. They are for external use on another vehicle.

Wow any reason it was surplussed. I thought the government policy was ti strip off armament from getting to the public.
