A question about photographs like the one of the bird at 12:03. What settings did you use to get the background this blurry and the bird so sharp without being mere centimeters away from the object?

@teknoplayer @iMstrKrft I understand what ISO means. I have an entire video dedicated to it. As you can see, this review was 14 minutes long, and that's with cuts edited in. Like I mentioned, I wanted to keep everything short and to the point. If you really care about ISO and everything else, you can research it on their website. Not mentioning something does not make a person any less experienced. It comes down to how I wanted to present this review to a general audience.

What do I need to put my camera on to take a 4x6 photo is that a option on the camera or would that be a option on software also how do I like set timer for camera and where do i even find that at

hey i know this is random, but does this camera take good videos of other screens? like if i wanted to video myself using the computer, would it appear clear or with the weird screen bars you get by using a regular camera?

yes chris i know that the 60d is good,but because of budget constraints,you can try the t2i or even the t3i,the t3i even has a flip out screen and both are baby 7ds!

But you say that canon shoots better video than nikon does... Which camera do you then suggest for me?

Hello, thanks so much for posting this video. My husband bought me this camera to take photos of my children. I was so excited to get it and now I'm so upset with the quality. I thought it would have given clean non blurry pics. What mode would you suggest to use for taking portraits? Or do you think this camera doesn't have the capabilities?

I have had this camera for a little under a year and still find out new things everyday. I really like it but could you do a film on how to get the best quality out of your camera for filming?Or do you know any videos that would help because i can't find any! hi! thank you for this video :) I've had my camera for a while now, but just recently started being more active in my youtube account. BUT i tried recording video with my nikon, and it sucks. It looks no where close to the test you showed us. I think i need a different sd card? The one i'm using now is a Sandisk Ultra SDHC - 32 GB - 30mb/s' - has a 10 with a circle lol. Could you please tell me what card you used for your test video? I was thinking an ExtremePro Sandisk one would be good? Thanks again for the awesome video :)

The canon ELPH 300HS has a sensor the same size as the Nikon Coolpix p500 (1/2.3" (6.17 x 4.55 mm)) "Bridge" cameras are just point and shoots with big zooms (they often have more manual modes but not always) Nothing will beat a DSLR given how much bigger the sensors are!

People have to understand, they are not Ansell Adams. The beautiful photos you seen in ads and in magazines have a lot to do with things most of us cannot realistically control such as lighting, filters and time to set up the shot. If the camera is simple to use and take decent shots, be happy. Nice review.

just wonderin, if u can zoom while revording video, it would make a great vid for utube, cause i want to know what 36x optical zoom is like :)

@itzRockSolid I had the SX30IS and I have the P500. I have to say that image quality on the P500 is better even thew SX30IS having more mp's, cuz mp's are not that important but the lens are. And the P500 have a very fun functionality that it can film in slow motion.

I have the same camera but i only take a couple pictures and its already half way dead. And ive changed the battery but it still dies on me quickly, and idea why? you said you had no problem with it but for some reason mine runs out of battery very fast
