The arms of the "Stargazer Chair" appear to be designed to support your arms & elbows at the right height for holding binoculars while stargazing! Fun fact: every astronomer that I've listened to recommends to get a pair of binoculars first to enjoy stargazing before ever spending money on a telescope! Get at least a 50mm front lens (to gather the most light) and no more than 8x to 10x power (to minimize image wobble from hand shake).

@@carolfugaban2071 WHY ARE YOU YELLING?
This is a superb review 👍. You outlined all the features very well, clear and to the point. No inane rambling. Thank you.
Well, we just picked up one to try. Had three people in the house try it. Me 6’4”, my wife 5’0” and my adult daughter 5’8”. All of us found it extremely uncomfortable. Defiantly gives you a sense of being squished and no comfortable place to put your arms. Sending it back. The search continues.
Hiker J I roll packs of J's before a big hike and call them my hiker J's. Cheers to the peoples plant
I just got one. And I didn't have a clue what to do with it. This was a very informative and easy to follow along video. thank you.
I just got one of these. My findings so far are pretty much the same. However, using the bars to get in and out is not easy either. You can and will crush your finger on the vertical/uprights of the chair as you sit or stand. The upright bars are far too close to the chair and I would think a super simple fix. stretching the horizontal curved bottom frame bar and viola. To be honest breaking this thing down and packing it in the bag takes longer than a small tent. Again a super simple fix with a larger bag. I have read the same reviews (I think) as you and while some seems a little petty, you have to keep in mind that at $220 for an item that would traditionally be considered expensive at $100, no complaint is petty. These things should be perfect and we shouldn't need to get USED to it.
I've used this chair before and it was phenomenal!
Hopefully Nemo is showing you some love because you convinced me to get one. Great review
I so need to get one of these for my Beach / 4WD camp set ups along the south east Queensland islands of Moreton, North Stradbroke & Fraser (K'gari) Islands this Aussie Spring / Summer. It'll be worth EVERY penny spent! Thanks mate, great review 👍
"Life's a hike so hike happy and take a really comfortable stargazing chair with you." :) Good review! I have ordered one from Amazon due to arrrive the end of this week. Love a hammock and am looking forward to sitting in it. (The fawn was so sweet, good for you to not disturb them)
Been looking at these chairs. I love this review, because you answered one of the most important questions: what are they like for tall folk? You’re a couple inches shorter than me and you look supper comfy in that chair. Thanks for a great review 👍
Thank you for being nice to the deer friend :3

I ordered one and felt like doing more research before it arrives and your review has been very insightful. Thanks!
Great review! Cool product. 👍🏼 Nice Jeep too.
Thank you for the review.
Great review!
Great video!! Very informative Thank you!!
Love the respect you pay to nature 👍🏽
I just got mine too and it rocks ! (dad joke). It is a great chair. personally though I wish the drink cup was on the outside. I find that my legs cover it
Great review. One of a very few that covers pretty much everything you want/ need to know. Thank you :)
Great review! Was having a hard time coming to grips with the price and if it would be worth it. This review has convinced me that it is! I'll just buy one at a time! Thank you!

I could never justify the price either, but finally caved when REI ran a 25% off sale. I have to say the more I use it outdoors the less I begrudge the price. What finally sold me to keep it was taking it to a neighborhood park with a small lake and just staring at the stars and watching the clouds float by. I will say for maximum comfort when reclining, you need a footrest of some kind. Glad I bought it.
Honest good bloody review will update you when mine comes top job tiger love from Tasmania
Good job! Thanks
Good job! Thank you!
Easier to buy a lightweight sitting and mainly eating chair, and a tripod like chair with a legholder attached. In my country all together is 45-75 dollars converted. For eating it is too low, you definitely nedd 2 chairs. And you can buy an outside fishing bed with sleeping bag attached to it and you have a whole setip. There are tables that fold half and have 4 eating chairs stored in them. Great setup too. Cheers :D
Job done . Thank you.
Very informative! New subscriber here👍
FYI- the stitching at the pockets where the “tent poles” go came undone while trying to insert the poles. We emailed NEMO and they did not cover it under warranty and charges a repair fee. Which is disappointing because it failed before we could even use it. We expected more quality and service for a chair we paid $200 for. “Lifetime warranty” is inaccurate.

oh thats not cool, u should have returned it, and got a new one if it happened to a brand new chair.
Thank you
It looks so awesome. But I actually would have probs w/ the bars. I have a lot of pain in my forearms and elbows, and even touching something hard with them for any length of time (10 mins +) becomes really painful. Still looking, but thanks for the review. I still may try it if I can find one locally. (p. s. as someone w/ a lot of pain, don't keep crossing your legs. it wears on your body over time. source: my physical therapist lol) awwwwwwwwwww the faun! That's so so sweet and good of you to leave it be.
That would be perfect for my motorcycle trailer want take up a lot of space
Just get it!
How comfortable is it with a laptop on you? does it slide towards you all the time? and is there one a 'bit" cheaper than 200 !?!
I see why you like this chair, too bad I m a backpacker
Thanks for saying your size
is this the standard or the Luxury model?
Can you test your head back without it fully reclining?
Is it a good chair for someone who is 5’ tall? It would be nice to be able to have my feet on the ground and butt in the back of the seat.
where is it made in? the USA?
I’d like to see some accessories like a rain canopy, a zipper bug screen with a canvas floor, foot/leg rest, more storage pouches for food and laptop,
Just found this chair at REI for $124.95
How tall is "real tall"? I'm 6' 5" and just ordered this chair, that's why I'm asking...

Why is your poles so easy to put in? I think my poles are too long

I was just at REI and it took three people to get those back (headrest) rods in, and even the last guy who got it was struggling. So, yeah. Wondering if it varies by chair?
What is this chair weight rated to?
@HikerJ

They are rated for 300lbs.
Trying to get those back poles in is ridiculous!
Costco has a swinging hammock chair for like 40 bucks.. this is 250.. not a hard choice to make.
Where can I buy it?

@@zardzone6548 I was playing my pool game on Facebook. I liked the chair and ordered one from i r p e r b a company in China -America one of the reasons I order the chair was it was advertised made in the USA when I received was a child's folding chair just the X with a little material on top, not a deluxe rocking recliner.

Kevin Hagen were you able to return and get a refund? I just did the same thing. How long did it take to get the child’s chair? I tried to call and the phone number is disconnected.

@@andrewpurdy5528 maybe just over a month for the child chair. I saw the ad once since then. Marked it misleading, but should have marked it scam. I've no address or information that came with the chair. My tracking did say delivery made. Wish I could send a picture , you would laugh. Sadly that laugh wasn't free, it cost me and others dearly.
Not really a chair for guitar players.. :)
That's big, expensive, and rather heavy.
Takes too long to setup and repack for a chair.
i can see the bars flexing,,,no thanks
Great review, but, sorry, the price is ridiculous. This is a camping chair for god sake, no way in hell you can justify the cost of this. If you can't find a chair that is a quarter to a third of this chair, then I think maybe you should not be camping & should be at a resort. Sorry, my 2 cents worth, but some people just go over the top.
