Use my first Innofader since 2011 with QFO LE - working perfect, and this is really good upgrade!

I have had my innofader Pro 2 for a year and a half and love it... definitely the best fader out there. Like u said, it can take a pounding and still works flawlessly. Elliott Marx is a genius in my opinion.

this Fader is the best thing i ever bought. Smooth as Butter and the 8mm fader stem is indestructible. the cut in is unbeatable . i owned a vetax pmc 05 pro 4 and a rane 72 and i must say the cut in of the innofader is better then the 72 (Firmware 1.1) but equal to the 05pro4.i cant really comment on Ecler ETERNAL fader because i only scratched with it only once and it was along time ago. in over 10 years i broke 4 p&g fader stems but that was not so bad because back in the day you could order replacement stems.

As you stated it's pretty difficult to get it set up right in a Rane. And when I finally did get it to where I liked the sharpness when I scratched, I never could get it blend correctly when I was mixing. Even after messing with the curve adjustment on the mixer itself. I finally just put the old fader back into the Rane. Luckily I now have the S9 and really like the fader in that mixer.

I was having problems with PNP2 and my Xone 92, until I realised it was on 'X' curve setting on the Innofader - needed to be 'Y' setting, for any '4 pin cable mixer' APART from the Z2. That instruction was the final sentence at the bottom of the second page of PNP2 instructions lol. With the X setting, the curve was dipping -20dB when set to mix curve on my mixer!!

I can't wait till you review the Xone:96, Mojaxx! That's my next huge purchase (fingers crossed)! Why I bring this up, you ask? because the mixer comes with an Innofader, so I figured why not mention it here since its in the same topic.

I am sticking with my modded Xone 92 with Innofader PNP2 - I think the Xone 96 is good but both mixers have issues (92 and 96) - for me the main one being overheating - I just modded my 92 with recap, heat sink and fan to keep it from melting another PSU. I have already 'felt' a 96 at the DJ store local to me being SUPER hot around the master output LEDs (where the PSU is). These mixers REALLY need a fan to keep a bit cooler.. and the Xone 96 is massive, wider and longer than the 92, with added digital soundcard and 2 additional aux inputs (and added spacing between knobs and boards). So I'm not sure a 96 would even be able to fit a fan in... I do like that the filter doesn't pop when you turn it on and off now, as well as having an instrument input (making gain structure when sending to guitar pedals better) but I already sorted that issue out by buying a re-amper and guitar DI (presumably higher quality Radial components rather than using the Xone 96 parts). I also like that the phono pre is louder now but that's not a huge selling point for me. I liked the LFO, crunch sounds ok too, but both are not huge features to me. I also worry that now there are digital components, repair cost may increase or failure rates - it's a new product and there might be kinks to work out.. EDIT: PNP2 DOES NOT work with Xone 92. Had to upgrade to Pro 2

  • @Ninja_Gaijin

I am not sure about the 62, but with my 92, I can get rid of the dip with the PNP2 and increasing the sharpness setting. I left it with a little bit of a dip still, because I wanted it be as close the 92 regular operation as possible, but I was able to remove it entirely with a ... 2-3pm sharpness setting I believe it was. I think I left it at a 1-2pm sharpness setting so there is still the -4dB (ish) dip when mixer curve is far left/counterclockwise and innofader stem in the middle. The Pro2 and PNP2 are both heavily modifiable so they should be able to change the curve on your mixer however you like. One thing that freaked me right out, Xone 92 is a '4 pin cable mixer', PNP2 comes default with 'X' curve option enabled, but Xone 92 needs 'Y' curve setting on the Innofader PNP2. With the 'X' curve, cut in's were WAY off and dip was like -20 or -25dB on mixer 'mix' curve. Eek! I was very happy to find that dip was a lot more normal with 'Y' setting, and was able to tweak it away from there.

Just one correcton - the second fader cap is not a *spare* - it's actually a different height. There is one that sits heigher and one lower, so that you can use whichever gives you the lower clearance depending on how you had to attach the crossfader to the mounting bracket (and whether or not you had to use washers as height spacers etc). The one with the silver dot under it is the shorter one

Any one know where to go longer insulating screws? They don't connect properly with triple washer on bracket, to fit in my Xone 92 (PNP2) Also any one have opinions of Pro2 vs PNP2? I feel like PNP2 might be easier to adjust the curve? Edit: PNP2 DOES NOT work with Xone 92, had to upgrade to Pro 2

Can wait to put one on my old Rane Ttm 56 n ttm old 52 Dope n my old vestax pmc 07 those classic deserve to have that innofader pro 2 it look professional n better than the mini innofader cuz the innofader could break I bought it on eBay the trx by Q Bert it come with a Mimi innofader n it was broken the dude never told he mess with this mixer it had screws missing I didn't know if not I would it send it back to him I'm going to buy a Mimi innofader that come with it just in case cuz when I'm cutting i could hear the other record I'm sure is the mini innofader I took it out n it was broken that why I could here the other record when I'm scratching the trx by DJ Q Bert the white one n is hard to work on that mixer too for what I saw so the pro 2 fits on all the ttm Rane n vestax n other classic mixer that what I was waiting for n is easy to put it don't need that extra plug to find out if the crossfader go with it just adjust it only need that cool

@@Mojaxx Which way should the Innofader be positioned? Mine came 'reversed', so that I put the side with the writing on the Innofader, facing the back of the mixer (with PNP2). I was able to set 'forward' operation, but I was worried maybe it works better with the insulated bronze side facing the front of the mixer?

Bleeding on my PNP2, installed a few days ago and used for only a couple of hours total. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5Nht7xsl7LbmLQ.html - hoping it's rare because for a crossfader than doesn't cut audio, that's kind of useless.. will see if can fix or replace and if it happens again.. not very confident in the quality so far.

Had a DJ Tech with a innofader mini, it was pure garbage. Had a Reloop Kut with an innofader pro, it was also pure garbage that had to be immediately returned. For 15 years my TTM56s has not a second of audio bleed and I'm essentially being told by Audio Innovate to expect audio bleed (like performance ruining issues are no big deal) and breakdown within a year or two. No thanks guys.
