I wax my Vidda Pro Ventilated pants and wear them skiing. I have three pairs and I love them. Im 5'7" 185 lbs and wear the 50 which translates to 36X30 and they fit perfectly.

Also good pockets are ESSENTIAL!!

I bought mine, first through Amazon because the fit was going to be questionable. I was correct and returned them easily and then bought them cheaper through another internet source. Love them.

I wear size 50 in ventilated, standing, it fits good and not really even require me to wear a belt. Stretch is awesome as well. My only issue I assume due to sizing is that when I am bending from waist or crouched down like you in the video, it does get bit tight feel to my waist but more importantly all those pockets on the leg become near useless as they get way too tight. So yeah... exactly what you talked about the pockets. I think I am gonna order a size 52 and see how it is. So basically size up if you plan on using those pockets, if you don't care for pockets, ,,, just get a model without pockets.

Great, honest and useful review!!! I have the KARL PRO and feel totally restricted in movement, especially between the legs as the G1000 has ZERO flexibility. I had a look at the KAIPAK, they have stretch elements, but I like the functionality of the Vidda Pro Ventilated better. Will give it a try.

Thanks! Ya, I think there may be a few more options available now too. I’m still happy with the ventilated pair, though it does suck when the stretchy material gets wet!

Does this have reinforced rear on the butt? they look green like the knees but they are or not doubled layers? i am concern about the rear because i sit on often on rocks and ground in the desert

There’s not reinforcement like the double layers at the knees, but they are a heavier material. I believe the are made with G-1000 Heavy Duty oppose to just the regular G-1000 that the rest of the pants are made of.

Could I do the Jewish bottle dance from Fiddler on the Roof in them? Thats all I need to know.

Those are "dark grey / black". Dark grey is the main color, and black is obviously the reinforcement panels.

Waterproof?

water 'resistant' You can apply wax to make the more resistant, which works surprisingly well, but with the gusseted/stretchy groin area, and the zips on the side... they aren't waterproof.
