@fredde90210 Lol, well I was in the same tanto hatin group! But I've grown to love their designs. This knife also comes in a drop point:) Thanks for watching! Appreciate the stars!

@LastDEF Definitely, tantos essentially has two tips that can cut during a slash. Plus they generally have stronger tips because of the extra metal up front. I'm not a fan of all tantos but a few well designed ones:) Thanks for watching!

@wenkrush Thanks for watching! Yeah this knife is not for everyone, the design is too radical for me even, but something really drew me to it. I didn't like it at first glance but the more I look at it (and now hold it) I really love it. I really like the streamline futuristic qualities of the design, personally.

@gundude73 Thanks! The Fulcrum II is the thickest and heaviest folder I own so far. I believe the ZT301 is approximately the same weight but no where near the thickness.

@bbabear01 I'm definitely not going to get rid of this unless I'm starving! I'm really lovin this blade! You had a RAO? I've been looking into buying one myself! These are strong overbuilt knives for sure and that's why I like them! Thanks for watching!

Nice Chunk of Steel! This thing should come with a sheath so it doesn't pull your pants down. Lol... Nice video as always and very well done. Haven't seen a new review in 5 days and was going to send out Search and Rescue for you!!

@ZippoThisKnifeThat Lol, well at least I held your attention for the entire vid dude! Yeah this knife is kind of large, heavy and intrusively vulgar:) I don't know what it is about this knife that I really dig... I think it's because there are no other knives that I know of that look like this. Thanks for the great compliment! I appreciate it!

Good video Dark. I had one of those once as well as the RAO. Huge knives that are indestructable. They just werent for me. So I had traded them off, and sometimes regret not having kept at least one or the other. Be sure and hold on to it...you will regret it if you dont.

@EnduringEagle Lol! No unfortunately not... I really don't think this was meant to go into a pair of jeans or something:) Probably a Maxpedition sheath attached to your body armor somewhere is more like it. Sorry for the slow production of reviews, I'm trying to space them out a bit so I can always have a constant flow but I'm not doing a good job, lol! Thanks for watching!

@Schmidt54 Thanks! I too prefer plain edges on my blades. Sharpening serrations is a challenge at first but there are plenty of tutorials online and I'm sure with a bit of practice it will be simpler. I haven't had a need to sharpen serrations yet so I can't really talk, lol! If I get a serrated blade I prefer it to be fully serrated:) But of course many are combo edges. I do like the Microtechs that offer D/E one side plain and the other fully serrated! Thanks for watching!

@TheOutcast00 The Fulcrum MSRP's at 420$ but I found mine on ebay pre owned but unused for 220$USD shipped. The average online site will have it for 329$USD (excluding shipping). I think your best bet would be Ebay.

@TheOutcast00 Lol, yes it is pricey to say the least! Especially if you were to order it directly from Extrema Ratio. Fixed blades are generally cheaper in price compared to their folding counterparts. But if it's a knife that you know you will love and will cherish then the price is worth saving up for! Feel free to ask me any questions regarding the knives:)

@Bierkameel I agree the handles are very smooth, but with the right gloves it is very easy to hold onto. I was thinking in terms of field use. I think it could have benefited from some grip inserts.

@seti351 I completely agree with the handles. I recently mentioned on my CS Recon I review that a tactical knife is no good unless you can hold onto it. To be honest the coating on the handle does provide a slight bit of grip...just not as good as G10 or grip tape. Thanks for watching!

@BenX74 While I agree with what you said, I think the overall purpose of this blade is tactical fighting. So it's pretty much a hack and stab knife. The reason it's so thick is that you don't want it break in a middle of a serious fight. It may not cut well but it'll split open what ever it comes into contact with on a person. I have a CS Recon I tanto as well and I really like it lot! Thanks for watching!

Hi I'm thinking about to get an ER but just can't decide which one to go with between Fulcrum II D and Nemesis(don't know if you familiar with Nemesis) the Nemesis with 6inches closed length seems a little too long(I've never seen one in person) but I like the shape of the blade. The Fulcrum II D's blade is a little too short but it looks stronger and I like the 4.75 inches closed length. Which one is more worth it to buy?I really appreciated for any suggestion. great video btw thanks 4 sharing

@bigbubba5037 I think that's what caught my eye regarding this knife. It's the really out of the box design! You know how there are certain things that you like because it's radical and very functional? That is this knife. Thanks for watching!

I've not had a chance to handle the Nemesis yet. But it's anything like the Fulcrum II then I think they would be pretty similar in terms of quality and build. These are some pretty tough knives, I think you couldn't go picking either one. I guess it all depends on what your needs are.

This is just right. Tanto is a method to make a fluffy knife "fightable" but with a Blade of 6mm I would wish me a tighter angle on the cuting edge because there is so much material behing the tip - it works like a bolt and won´t break. I own the Fulcrum II in normal shape and it´s the one I trust if some days it comes to the worst (if I ever would trust a folder then :) But in real damn shit I prefere the Applegate Firbairn - not as a folder :)

Totally awesome futuristic blade. :-) I have to say I like this very much, though I prefer plain edges instead of combo edges (but just for the looks; I think a utility knife should have serations for the inital "bite", but they're hard/impossible to sharpen). I think this is one of your coolest pieces.

I just hate how a lot of makers totally bastardize the tanto bladeshape. It's purpose is to combine the slicing power of a deeply hollow ground cutting edge with the tip strength of a flat ground blade. But the Extrema Ratio Tantos have no hollow grinding whatsoever. Combine this with the totally obscene blade thickness and you have a knive which won't cut well at all. Everything on this knive just screams "marketing". Get a Cold Steel Recon I 2010 instead (and save A LOT of money, too).
