Pretty cool! I have the Pencil and Smart Keyboard and a compatible case for mine already, but would look at this for future reference.

I appreciate the review very much, and I'm glad this option is available since many will find it worth considering. For me, due to the weight and bulk of this case, it's better to stick with the Apple Smart Keyboard plus portable Anker or Satechi USB-C hub dongle.

anonymous I agree. I don’t understand how the Macbook 12 inch could be so thin and these keyboard manufacturers cannot make an equally thin keyboard atrachment.

Do they have one for the 12.9" iPad Pro 2018, with the lightning connector?

I used to “forced” my iPadPro into a One does it all, but since I need Autocad, Sketchup, descent Keynote and a nice keyboar, I end up having both 10.5” iPad Pro + Macbook 12” i5 .. I believe they are still less bulky than the above while I can do all my works properly 😃

Zugu Keyboard has worked so well for me! It's the safest, cleanest case (no keyboard, but it has a really nice stand, and a cradled spot for the Apple pencil).I code on my laptop so I don't need a keyboard. On rate instances, I use a Bluetooth keyboard (haven't needed to in months).

Do you know where I can find the user manual? I cannot get the keyboard to pair with the iPad. I turned the keyboard on and there was key backlight. But then that went off. I googled pairing but it told me to turn on the Bluetooth “key”. I can’t see anything or would resemble. What am I doing wrong?

Do they have a lighting version for the older pros 😩😩

Apple should make a screen-less MacBook Pro so we can use the iPad Pro as a screen then take the iPad off to use it when we’re on the go. The best of both worlds.

I switched because I’m in the arts therefore need to be interactive with my screen, to be able to draw etc. Ipad is great for drawing on the go, but sometimes you need a proper laptop set up.

About the time your iPad is 3 years old, you can get this sweet case.

I would say if u are a typer and someone who draws etc it’s best to just get a table with the keyboard or just get a lap top that has a touch screen

There are many of us that do NOT want our iPads to mimic a MacBook, if I had wanted my iPad to Miami a MacBook I wouldn’t have bought it at all❗️THE SIMPLICITY AND MOBILITY OF THE IPAD IS FAR SUPERIOR TO ANYTHING IN ITS CLASS‼️ I absolutely love ❤️ my two iPad Pros one in my office and one here by my side. I can grab it and take it with me when I go anywhere. It is just so GREAT as it is❗️👍✅

Better off getting a 2015 macbook pro or the 2021 macbook pro

Keyboard is nice design but so many problems, really not worth the money. I have been trying to get mine fixed through company for 2 weeks and really looks like there going to screw me.

The battery is way too small it should at least be 7000mah or 8000 mah there should be enough space for that also the profile of this thing is way to big in my opinion

Without Apple Pencil Charging, I'll stick with my Brydge and the USB C Hub which attaches to the top right hand corner of my iPad and Bluetooth Mouse.

I already own the Brydge Keyboard for iPad Pro 11, which does support Apple Pencil charging. My point was the keyboard featured in this video does NOT support pencil charging, thus it's a no buy for me.

Rod Brylawski yes the model with the pencil, has the trackpad and the hub. Plus if they hit a $200k (they are already at $155k) then the developer will add a headphone jack

@@corderajones That's great. I hope they do well with this Kickstarter campaign. I'll stick with my Brydge as it's a wonderful keyboard, which does everything I need, but I wish this company great success.

It looks ugly with the tacky borders around the edges when the iPad is placed on it....

i think they could have used the ipad dock connector but apple would make them pay too much for that

I’d buy one right now but the 11” isn’t very pretty compared to the slim bezels of the 12.9” version!! The 11" isn’t proportional to the keyboard like the 12.9" is!! Get looks right and you got yourself a win in all categories! Also, versions with Apple pencil dock are worse! AI you should ask for an 11" version to review and compare! Oh yeah, we all have a spare $1,000 laying around, lol. Some of us have a desktop and an iPad but when working on the go, we wish our iPads worked like a laptop.

I don't get the reason behind this one. They're essentially trying to convert an iPad to an incapable MacBook Air. Why do this when someone can just get the Air which runs MacOS. This just adds inconvenience with the weight and bulk and takes away the idea of a tablet. I don't see how this will be a successful product.

I think most of us buy an iPad Pro for its tablet functionality but to have the ability to use it as a laptop when we need to is worth having than not. Though I agree, there are many similar products arriving, I already have one that only cost $80 and it is handy to type this comment out rather than via an onboard keyboard. Having trackpad support is great, not so much for the precision but for the gestures. So for me, win-win, though with BRYDGE and others bringing these out I am not sure this can make money.

@@andyH_England exactly... In my opinion having ipad pro is very good for note taking and studying. But with A12x processor It became quite fast computer. So people don't want to buy new computer for research and typing etc. So one stone two birds philosophy... ipados will never give taste of computer.

Well it does have advantages over the Brydge Pro+ with additional USB/HDMI ports and lower typing & mouse latency since the connection is over USB-C rather than bluetooth.

The Google Pixelbook and Pixelbook Go are loved by a lot of people. On paper, the Pixelbook Go is total insanity. But if you read reviews, people love having something really light, with a keyboard, and with hardly any software or hardware capabilities. For example, having long conversations with a friend on Instagram messaging or Twitter private messaging or facebook private massaging or IRC or Snapchat private messaging or Google Hangouts or WhatsApp or Apple's Messages app or Viber or Skype or WeChat. Another example: editing a draft of an important document like a letter or essay. Or a PowerPoint slide that has a lot of words. You do the draft on the couch or airplane seat. Then you email your document to yourself or use Google drive or whatever. Then you use a very powerful computer at a desk to do more powerful tasks like adding graffics, selecting a font, grammar checking, adding a video, adding an interactive 3d spinning model. But you wrote your big draft in comfort on your Pixelbook Go, or IPad with keyboard or whatever. I just wrote this comment on a tablet. I didn't need a physical keyboard. It was fast on my touch screen. But maybe I would have enjoyed using a physical keyboard. I'm curious to one day come back to this comment and completely retype an exact replica comment as a reply underneath it and see if I feel any different. One day...

I work on a construction, deal with a lot of drawings, most of the te review and put comments on them and distribute them, in this case iPad (I use iPadPro 10.5”) is the only way to do it, while doing cad revisions or drawing and complex reporting can only be done properly in my macbook 12”

This seems cool but its so ugly, I would love this thing if it was slimmed down, especially on the sides

I have a suggestion: buy a MacBook. Stop trying to make iPad into something that it’s not suppose to be.

I cant bare the sound of your voice, its so irritating I’ve tried and tried but I cant listen anymore.

Please don’t use MacBook as a synonym for laptop. iPad with a keyboard is a functionally unimpressive laptop and definitely not a MacBook. Imprecise terminology is annoying as fuck
