Thank you for the review. I have the latest iPad Pro and had some shock and frustration finding the correct adapter(s) for my external devices. In particular I like and try to use music creation instruments (many synths) and daw's like GarageBand and found audio to be a common issue. Bluetooth solutions didn't pan out due to the delay's and I've found that the Audio I/O works or doesn't work to various degree's with different adapters. I was hoping you would address the audio jack's audio input and output capabilities and if or how much delay was introduced. I have a couple of adapters where the audio input simply wasn't implemented or there's excessive noise or delay. With the lightning connector I was able to find (KORG) a device that handled MIDI, Audio I and O and USB while charging my iPad. I've yet to find a single device for the USB-C iPad that works with all these cases. Currently Im stuck with a USB-C - USB Hub with external audio & midi device. I also have a larger protective carrier (which also holds the Apple Pencil) which prohibits a 'clamp on' kinda hub; It was nice to see this one with a cable to the iPad for this instance.

Good review! I initially backed this before the kickstarter randomly got shut down, but decided against it in the end. The fact I couldn't lye my iPad down flat and the cable was a deciding factor!

Thanks so much for that adapter advert. I was looking something like that for iPad Pro 2021. Current upgared version have 2 USB type A what is just great! In my case for MIDI keyboard and for Launchpad X; 1 USB C for power; 1 minijack for audio output. All used port on the right side :) I don't use HDMI so often so it's great it is on the top, the same with hidden socket for TF card. Upgraded version is just perfect. Thanks and regards :)

We just got one of these in too, it is a life saver if you use iPad Pro as your main device.

i think I am addicted to your iPad videos...I really want one I love dongles where they are necessary the thing is manufactures should make type c everything even the headphones(that's why I really appreciate the type c dongles that come with the NOTE 10) and the HDMI's and the pen drives, the only dongle you should have is the sd card dongle and that's for specific people... I mean you have a camera & the charger, why not carry the dongle for the sd card if not find a laptop with a compact disk drive and floppy disk drive to edit your photos...lol...

I really like the concept of this hub, I got two of them Thinking that I could listen to my music through my stereo and charge my iPad at the same time. I couldn’t use my auxiliary 8th inch adapter, The situation was really strange because it would allow me to use my headphones but not the 8th inch adapter.

This is certainly one of the tidiest solution to the dongle problem. Obviously, you can't fold it that much, but it's a lot better looking than the other options.

Got this adapter last week, love it. Just it sucks for iOS12. excited for ios13 to take advantage of it

Looks like it may be out of the question if you use a slightly thicker case for the ipad pro. How much gap space is there and is there a slight flex?

Noah, you can eliminate that wobble issue (6:17) simply by pulling the adapter off the corner of the iPad and laying it on the table next to the iPad, but still have the adapter plugged into the USB-C port.

How does it fit with the Keyboard Folio 3rd Gen? I use that with my iPad Pro and deciding which dongle to get once iPad OS is out next week. If I have to take off my keyboard folio to use this, then it won't work for me. I've seen others with multiple IO that fits nicely but I have to say this one is very compelling. I'll try it out in the  store. I got AirPods but had to sell them, they kept giving me headaches. So I stuck to the headphone jack via an adapter so the headphone jack inclusion is very compelling. Great video.

I have the adapter and use it with a keyboard cover. It then has none of the disadvantages you mention. The ISSUE is the software I use, Lightroom and RUSH, to preprocess my photo and video clips while on the road does not yet recognize the adapter. I have to use the adapter to move the content from the camera or drone memory chip to the Apple Photos file and then import it to my application. This is a minor problem and I hope it will be addressed soon. I love the fact that this adapter has so many ports and it clips to the iPad rather than dangling from the USB-C port.

Thanks for this video I’m going to get the ipad pro 2019 when it comes out and I’ll definitely be trying this accessory (if it work on the new ipad) or something close

Hey man, how about posting how to get information on this device? I can't find any info on it and when I put in Baseus the company doesn't even show up until the 3 page. Even then the device isn't there.

It looks really good But if you have a case like my case DUX Shell Rugged case. It won't fit?

I was looking at several dongles and obviously throughput is important. Did you get some good numbers from external devices through this hub to the iPad? Also, maybe make a recommendation to Baseus to make a silicon mirror image piece that would fit on the other side and thus landscape is no longer a problem as both side would match.

You facing any slowing issues when charge the ipad through the baseus hub? If charge directly without using the hub,then the fast charge working perfectly fine. I hope you respond my comment. You just earned a new subscriber!!!!

Can’t use the Smart Keyboard folio with it, can’t lie it flat, big cord hanging off. I do like how well it holds on though. I’ll stick with the Hyper.

I just bought one of these. Not really tried all the port bit it is super cool. It's a little tight because I have a glass screen protector. It cheape than an headphone adapter from apple so it's a no brainer.

burtnolan if they make it for that generation. The iPad Pro 12.9 he has is charged via usb-c. Yours is lighting cable.

My only complaint about it is that if you have the Smart Keyboard case and a screen protector it’s a little hard to get on, but other than that it’s been a must for school

Just picked one up for my iPad Pro. The only thing is is makes you get a Smart Keyboard or smart folio case but I’m fine with that.

The transfer speed from what I remember is alright. I would check the actual numbers though or research an adapter with the bandwidth you need :)

What is your opinion on the best USB-C hub for the new Magic Keyboard? Love this hub, but the iPad won’t be able to magnetize to the new Magic Keyboard with this thing attached.

If it had an Ethernet port I’d buy it. The hub that I have has all the same stuff minus the headphone jack, plus a gigabyte Ethernet port. Yes the iPad Pro supports Ethernet connectivity.

Try a sd card and micro sd card together. Do they work together or only one at a time. I know that a pen drive works side by side with the card reader. But can it read two cards at the same time - sd card and micro sd card
