To finish drying the laundry (if I can't use a dryer or hang it outside), I have added a pressure shower rod over the shower head, down the length of my shower/bathtub area. I am only 5'3", so I have simply left the rod up there. If any dripping does occur, it just drips down into the drain. And, if I need to dry the laundry items a little more quickly, I can just set a fan opposite the shower, directed into the shower/tub area with the shower curtain/door pulled closed a bit, so that the air bounces around in the shower and dries the laundry more quickly; of course, you can also use a space heater for this purpose. It works for me! 😊
This video Presenter - and all the Commentators are So Helpful! Thanks, everyone! We are all trying t o make things more convenient- and less expensive than having to run off to a laundromat or, in my case, the community center in my apartment complex. I think it might be well worth it, in the long run, to have an alternate system than what I already have (laundry center) - which has cost me $30 - $40/ month in laundry expenses!
Hi, we just noticed this discussion and wanted to add some clarity...sorry for the delay. First, you do not have to stop for 10 or more minutes between loads. You can run many loads in a row, although most people would not have the need to do so. The instructions are a little conservative in this regard. It is perfectly normal for the metal drum to become warm during operation. There is a built-in safety feature called a thermal protector that will immediately shut off the motor if it were to get close to reaching a dangerous temperature.

Thank you so much for helping out with this info!! I haven’t noticed any overheating since my initial test review and it’s been incredibly solid. Having the thermal protector is fantastic! My boyfriend and I have since realised that one spin of up to 22lbs is sufficient and therefore don’t need to do multiple spins! It’s my favourite product. I cannot thank you enough for helping out with this matter! Cheers. :)

@ the laundry alternative, you should consider linking this review to your website instead of the other one that runs close to 30 minutes, this review is far far better 😀
Thank you so much when I was swimming at my daughter's apartment indoor pool they had a spin dryer but it was a professional one that was mounted to the wall for swim suits I have always wanted one
Excellent video. Short. Detailed. To the point. Great presenter.
My daughter has used hers for over a year and really likes it

We love ours!
Just bought one of these with a portable washer off FB marketplace. $35 for the pair so I didn't expect much at all. This thing works AMAZING and takes no time at all to do its job. My sopping wet towel went from drenched to just about dry in less than a minute. I couldn't ring out my clothes better if I tried my hardest. I wear a lot of moisture wicking clothing as well and I can practically put them on strait out of the ninja.
Best review ever! No bull just super nice facts.KEEP GOING GIRL!

Thanks, Vikki! I’m glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate your feedback. Many thanks!!
Thank you for the detailed review on such a niche item-- this is exactly what I was looking for! I'm thinking this will be included in next month's budget :-)
Gretel I can't thank you enough for this review of the ninja spin Dryer. Thank you for that! I will be following you I just love your delivery and professionalism. I have considered getting a mop wringer. You know the ones where you put the wet spaghetti mop into a cage and then push a lever down to squeeze out excess water. I am so done with electrical appliances that break down and in South Africa we have power supply interruptions.
Beautiful. I'm so glad I decided to purchase both this and the Wonder Wash, along with the Niagara. Even though I live in a house in CT, within a few years I'm looking to move back to an apartment in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, and now i will be all set for all my laundry needs thanks again for your review, it's by far the best one I'm seen online.

We love this Ninja spinner! It's still going strong. Thanks for watching and I'm glad it was helpful. :)
so incredibly helpful!!! thank you so much for reviewing this and the Wonder Wash.
I have a panda and it also spins at the same rpm. It's fantastic.

Oo good to know, I'll consider that one too. I have to get one soon so its good to have a 2nd one in the mix. Thx!
Interesting. It looks like a great machine, but I'm weighing buying a hand wringer (still pretty expensive and a hassle to set up!) vs a machine similar to one in your interview. I'll bet the elecricity used is pretty minimal, too but, still an added expense - that's not compared to spending money at the apartment community center were I live! Not to mention, I'm not supposed to have a small, portable washing machine in my apartment, and this little extractor leaves OUT a lot of little problems, such as finding a hose and adapter sink connectors for the water intake - and draining a lot of water out of a house, after the washing - which, again, I'm not allowed in my apartment! Either way, I'm sure I'll save money having a different arrangement other than what I have now....❤
Thanks very much for posting this video, it was very helpful!

Good comparison to know! :)
Glad you did a dryer too, it's even harder to find something decent than the washer is. I found one of these Ninja's "used" for $65, but i dont know if its the kind of thing where a lot of pieces can break if its "used" or they can be passed down, and are hard to break. That would be saving so much money if it works.
I need something like this but smaller just for a coupple of rags for detailing
I almost consider this piece to be the most important in my 3 piece set. Countertop Zeny washer is great but spin function is weak. The Ninja. And I have a Panda compact dryer. I love all three but removing 90% of the water is paramount in moving wash day along. Especially now with winter coming. Outdoor line drying won't be possible. I also save a bit of water by using the extracted rinse water to start my next load in the Zeny. Doing home laundry this way might seem a little labor intensive, but I call it "exercise" and most importantly I don't have to go out to a laundromat.

There should be a round plastic insert to push down on the clothes, to stop them flying out and tangling on the outer part of the drum inside the machine.
@GretelScarlettOfficial

Hi Michael! Thanks for your comment. The RPMs on the Ninja are so fast that the clothes don't fly out or get tangled. It does not require a round plastic insert like the slower versions of spinners.

@@GretelScarlettOfficial oh okay. That's alright then.
Thank you for the excellent review! Can you tell me if you noticed if the Ninja plastic body or top has a strong odor to it? My mother and I are both chemically sensitive and in general find new items made of plastic to be offensive, unless made of a good quality plastic.
@GretelScarlettOfficial

Hi Joseph! Glad you found the review helpful! I haven’t noticed any particular smell from the plastic on the product. I know the type of odour you are referring to and it’s often of low quality products. It seems like the plastic used in the product is of higher quality. I hope that helps!

Hi Gretel - This is very helpful, and I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question. 👍👍
To balance the laundry correctly you must spread each piece of laundry over the entire surface of the basket, press with your hands all over it, then add another piece in the same way on top, etc. Last, add the small parts all at once over the entire surface of the basket. If the laundry reaches the top of the basket, it is preferable to place a "spin mat" between the top of the basket and the upper part of the laundry
@GretelScarlettOfficial
2 жыл бұрын
Awesome suggestion! I’ll certainly try this next time. I’ve also had really great success over the last few weeks just throwing all of the laundry in and making it equal/squished down to fill out the entire basket. It spins much better! Haha This is a great tip though! Appreciate your help!

Aunt Barbara adores you!
I have a couple questions 1)Is it still running well? 2)How many pants, hoodies, or shirts do you think you can fit in there? 3) Do you air dry the clothes after spinning it. If so, how long does it typically take under its fully dry?
@GretelScarlettOfficial
Жыл бұрын
Great questions! 1. Absolutely. Still running perfect. Love this purchase! 2. Approx 10-15 shirts (depending on thickness of shirt material), probably 4 hoodies, or 6-8 pants (depending on material). I did a spin of my boyfriend's washing the other day and this was what I was able to do in one spin. Approx. 10 pairs of socks, 8 pairs of boxer briefs, about 8 t-shirts, and 1 lightweight pair of pants. I try to only ever fill the barrel to about 75% full when you press down on the items. 3. Yes, you MUST air dry the clothes after spinning. The spinning removes the water to a point of the clothing feeling a little damp to touch. I have a lot of sunlight in my apartment, so my full drying time during the days is around 2-4 hours, depending on clothing material. Thicker materials may need more time/overnight! During Summer, I put a fan on the clothing and reduced that time to about 2 hours. Drying time is dependent on your circumstances, the amount of sunlight, and/or airflow. Hope that helps! :)

If you ran the clothes through the dryer 2-3 times will you still have to air dry?
Can this be used outdoors? I was thinking this would be great around the pool for drying bathing suits when people come over!
@GretelScarlettOfficial
2 жыл бұрын
I feel like it could absolutely be used outdoors (they mention small spaces like RV's and boats on most descriptions), however, I would advise storing it indoors. If you were planning to use it for drying bathing suits, I would just bring it out at the end of swimming, throw peoples swimmers in, and spin! It's super light, so you can easily transport it between areas and rooms. I wouldn't recommend outdoors 24/7, if that makes sense! Hope that helps!

Hi Larry you.ll need a cord will a ground plug. You might get an electric shock without one. it's not water proof. So use it outside on dry days. Otherwise keep it indoors.
Question: How long would you say the cord is? I’ve got one of those spaces where the outlet is a little over 6 feet away from the bath tub.
@GretelScarlettOfficial

Hi! The cord is roughly 95inchs long (98 inches including the wall adapter) or approximately 8 ft or 2.5mtrs.

Question: Did the getting hot resolve or remain the same, or did the unit burn out. Does it continue to perform in the same manner as when you did this video. ?
@GretelScarlettOfficial
Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks so much for your questions. :) The overheating actually did resolve! It seems to no longer get too warm at the bottom of the barrel. I do make sure not to do TOO many loads in a row. It's still working perfect and without any issues. I have also figured out that you can fill the barrel pretty high with garments - it doesn't require a "spin mat" at the top like some other products. I've dried about 4 or 5 towels all at once, and it actually works better with heavier loads for balancing out the weight. We just place all of the objects in and then press down on all of the garments to pack them down into the barrel. A very high-quality product! I still recommend and have had zero issues. :)
Bought a $200 Costway. Washer Spinner went out
YEA! ...I'm back. So, I did purchase at the "Goodwill," thrift store, the Laundry Alternative Ninja ( which I saw two days consecutively for $49 ); But THANKFULLY it was half off! ...So, I carefully strapped it to my rear bike rack ( I'm a working poor man, 63 years old ) on top of the metal clothes horse, I bought a cross the street from "Salvation Army," Antique Thrift store. Though, I didn't strap the Ninja at first, until it FELL to the ground! ...I proceeded to ride the incline four miles to my residence ( the last mile is to steep, so I walked ). ...Yes, THAT was a workout!! ...The following day ( today ), I hand washed a few garments: 2 long sleeve shirts ( 1 polyester, 1 cotton ), 2 long underwear ( 1 polyester, 1 cotton ), 1 short sleeved polyester, 1 polyester boxer underwear, and 1 pair of cotton ankle socks. After wringing them out by hand, and evenly loading these garments; I shut the led ( If you put something, like the right sized smooth stone behind the led, it won't fall as your loading - Your welcome! ). ...I than started, and held the unit steady until it settled down ( there's a lesson for life - Proverbs 6:23 4:18-27; Job 28:28; I Cor. 3:16-17; I Cor. 15:1-58 / K.J.V. ONLY ) ...But during my high expectation, I forgot to place a container to capture ALL that water POURING OUT! ...After about 7 to 10 mins. It's all worth my time money, transporting on a bike to the mountain where I live. Humbly speaking, the Lord has BLESSED this poor man, who was homeless for 12 years and 11 months ( Nov. 2006 - Oct. 2019 ). During which time, I NEVER stopped seeking the Lord God of Israel, who raised Jesus Christ from the dead; through constantly READING God's holy written Word: Daniel 1:1-12-:13; Revelation 1:1-22:21 / King James Bible ONLY ) ...Amen.
Have you used a panda spin dryer for comparison?
@GretelScarlettOfficial
11 ай бұрын
I haven't actually! I should check that out.
How do you load the water? Where does it come from?
@GretelScarlettOfficial
10 ай бұрын
It’s a spinner. If you watch the full video, you will see no water is involved. It’s not a WASHER. After washing your clothes in a bucket, or other type of washer, you load WET laundry into this spinner. You then turn it on and it spins out the water from your laundry. Hope that helps answer your questions.
Load it wrong and it will explode. According to Amazon reviews with photos these things are incredibly dangerous if not used properly

Gretel, lol, you are sitting on a wrinkled bed sheet which tells me that your dryer doesn't get the wrinkles out which is the No 1 benefit and reason why I want a dryer.
@GretelScarlettOfficial

Haha! Yep! There’s no heat in this dryer. Simply spins clothes to wring out water. You can always use an iron or steamer too. We aren’t that pedantic about our bed sheet. Good luck on your heated dryer search.
