Crazy to see GMC now...I really like the way the new trucks are looking. I own a 1964 GMC 1000 Stepside, short wheelbase. Started out as my great grandfather's work truck, then became my granddad's racing truck, now mine. 55 years of difference, but it's still serving its purpose amazingly...

Never buy new. I'm getting 1 just like this with 37k miles for $32k. Not too shabby

After all research, Why I think GMC Sierra is the best truck, and the only truck I will feel most confident to drive off the car lot. Best design truck, looking solid, not too much shiny chrome. Super classic button control interior. This is the truck I i’ll buy in a few months; 2020 GMC Sierra 4x4 towing package with all manual buttons, as little touch screen as possible, or no touch screen at all please.

You can get a multi pro tailgate from SLT, AT4 and DENALI but not from other lower base trims...GMC should make this practically useful tailgate as standard from top to bottom trims.

Pro tailgate puts the others to shame, rear bumper steps, extra wide bed, AC outlet in the bed and cabin, 12, (yes 12) welded in place bed tie-downs plus 6 optional tie-down spots, storage behind the rear seats (tire pump, hand guns), storage under the rear seats, full size spare..plus the GMC cheaper than the others even in the Denali trim (heads up display, surround camera vibrating seat alerts (instead of a chime))...best value by far. UPDATE: I bought a loaded SLT with the STANDARD size bed. With the gate down and the "step" flipped up 4' x 8' drywall and plywood will fit FLAT on the bed with 2 inches of clearance between the wheel wells and about 5 inches of clearance between the back of the bed and the flipped up step. With the AC outlet in the bed we can cut our pieces right at the truck if we need to. Just an awesome truck so far.

I love the 2019 model you're describing in this video. My purchase of one was simply the best bang for the buck! Thanks for the informative video! I'm still trying to grasp the capabilities that the well engineered truck has to offer. It's just awesome that so much thought was put into designing such a truck! Do your research and make the decision where to purchase one. It's worth the drive to the city to get the best deal!

What file format does the USB drive need to be in: Fat 32, Xfat , NTFS ?

Just a word of caution - the new 2019 Silverado can Not be ordered or does Not come with the power brake and foot pedal adjuster. This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...I own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature......why?

Improvements improvements enough to make your head spin quite a change from my new 1993 Sierra accept for the gas mileage only a couple miles per gallon better ? Where the hell is the technology under the hood i would think some vastly improved gas mileage over a couple led lites and a fancy tailgate that I’m sure has lots of hidden problems since the old 350 of 1993 pushing 275.00 miles

I've seen this truck in person, and to be honest it's nice. The one thing I hated about it is when you don't go with the sunroof you can see the cutout in the headliner. Cheap design GM could've opted with another headliner that would get rid of the cutout for those people who don't get the sunroof seriously, is that like a reminder to show how cheap or poor people can be who don't get sunroofs?😂😂

That's not the reason it's there. It's for headroom. They have the cut out in the backseat too.

The reason as to why that cut out is there, is not because people are poor because they couldn't get the sunroof option. It's literally there to make the Headroom more adequate for taller passengers.

Can you get heads up display in the SLT versus a sunroof?

Great question! The sunroof is an available option, however the Heads-up Display is not available on the SLT (only on Denali and AT4)

about 35K too expensive and that's on the conservative end. So since trucks are way too overpriced now and probably not selling, will they bring back the large size sedans? Impalas, etc.?

You right $71,215 is too much!

I believe it’s the 2019’s come with a 10 speed automatic not 8 speed. The previous generations came with the 8 speed.

base trim trucks go for 40k on average

Gm has to price them steep enough in order to makes profits to prevent another nrankrupcy

@@SitesThatSuck I mean, the seats themselves are alittle less plush and more supportive is my opinion of it. They've also streamlined the 2wd, 4up and low/ light settings and tour/sport/tow haul mode. The center stack is pretty cleaned up with where the traction control and settings are located. The interior of the cab is significantly taller, and longer, the bed is wider and has more volume, just take a look at the 18's bed and you can clearly see it. The tow ratings are impressive at the gear ratios without having to buy a 3.73 rear axle for "Max tow" That Dynamic fuel management system is pretty neat and the 6.2 paired with the 10spd is really impressive and makes for a dynamic ride...

The only thing that makes the interior hideous is the headrests

Damn, just show me a truck with better horsepower and more torque for the money. What's the base model price?

for an slt loaded like this one? probably 55-60k

When trucks are wind tunnel tested they start looking like the 2019-2020 RAM 1500 (which also has louvers behind the grill and a retractable air dam at speed), not like this. Sat in this model and felt like the hood seriously impeded my view of the road (a major downside of the mini-Mack truck look)

We have to pay 205 thousand in a 2020 Toyota Hilux in Brazil

@@gnevala The 5.3L is a fine motor... I have it with the eAssist package in 2018 Silverado, so it makes 368HP and 425lb.-ft. of torque, not far off from the specs of the 5.7 HEMI (more torque in fact). The HEMI is an amazing, brute engine, but the 5.3 always struck me as more refined; at least as refined as a big V8 can be. Now, the soon to be released Ram w/ eTorque sounds pretty awesome. All said, Ram, GMC, Chevy, Ford.. they all have something to offer. I like them all personally ... I only stick to GM because my father worked there for 30 years, as did many uncles. I've been super impressed by the mileage too with the eAssist package, I don't find the fuel consumption much different than the AWD 3.6 Equinox I had years ago.

@@andybub45 Depends on which claims you believe. Since 2009 the Ram brand has the highest percentage of repeat buyers. Look at Chevy sales since 2009 Vs Ram sales during the same period. Ram sales growth is off the charts while Chevy market share has declined. Here is the best endorsement you will ever see...Woody Folsom operates out of his GM Dealership in Baxley, Ga. He also has Ford, Ram and Nissan Dealerships. He is driving a 2019 Ram Laramie Longhorn and parks it right in front of his Chevy Showroom.

This truck is not worth $71K+. GM needs to cut it out.

el ?dodge division of FIAT CHRYSLER doesn't build trucks so what are you talking about ( really gm doesn't build trucks either , not well anyway ) RAMs rust faster that GMC that much is true but ram isn't as lame as gm vehicles

By tradition. Chevy and Cadillac.... back in the day Lincoln was a the epitome of luxury and some classics ....still a Lincoln was a ford .....chevy was the reliable and Cadillac was first before the Benz.. .Caddy dresses back then dressed better than any vehicle. west coast, countryside and Trucks now... Get the F series....chevy and GM lost there standard, and anticipation.

This truck is worth the top price should be 60k or 65k who agrees

GM is not doing such a good job. This being a new cab isn't even full flat load and also still has a small sunroof and not the panoramic roof. That interior is horrible, small nav system. Nice looking truck from the outside!
