In this video, I will show you how to do a reverse bay park using the 3rd line as a reference point.
I also show you how to correct it should things not go to plan. This is one of the manoeuvres you may be asked to do on your driving test. Unfortunately if you are unable to complete it properly, you will fail the test.
But don't get driving test nerves because of a bay park, after watching this video and with a bit of practice, you should be able to do it easily.
Here are some key points to remember when doing this manoeuvre:
Don't rush
Check your surroundings first before starting
Have a plan
Look around a lot
Stop for any other road users such as other cars or pedestrians
If you aren't sure if the car is in the bay properly, secure the car, open the door and check.
With enough practice, this manoeuvre can be done easily. It might take a coupe of tries to get the reference point right but once you do, it will make it a lot easier.
